As someone who currently lives in Downtown Phoenix, and LOVES it, I very highly recommend DTPHX location, best area to network and meet other successful blacks. In Scottsdale, expect to be the only chip in the cookie and/or around arrogant type people. I live in the building, the Ryan, next to the Adeline that you toured, this area is hands down the best: walking distance to a ton of bars, restaurants, events, and not to mention a whole Fry’s grocery store is attached to the building. My bf & I just renewed our lease in our building ❤️ Also, having a pool in this heat is MAJOR key 🔑 Regardless, welcome to Phoenix 🌵🏜️☀️ I’d love to run into you!

Honestly that’s exactly what I heard especially from other black people! We went to the Ryan didn’t like the leasing agent. She was mad rude. I really did like the DT area though, very walkable and there’s a lot around!

Yesss there’s a ton around and super walkable with other fun forms of transport: scooters, Waymo (driverless car), light rail (def not preferred but still an experience & can be convenient to get to/from the airport). They do a weekly flyer for the DTPHX area too showing different events which I love as well. I can guess which leasing agent it was, she is not favored by many, and I’ve heard will not be here too much longer… That’s so unfortunate and quite ridiculous though that she deterred you and led you to have a not so positive experience. I really do love living in this building and area and have met so many amazing black folks that my bf and I have become very close with. Anyways, definitely hope that you’ll enjoy Phoenix and would love to connect! 📍🏜️

Biltmore is definitely the area to be. It's close to ASU, great food, shopping and grocery stores.

There’s a lot of melanated people now. A lot of people moved here and it’s really chill. You’ll love it. You should definitely connect with aieshabeasley, a Phoenix content creator that shows people places to go to around Arizona cause it can look dry here but it’s not. There’s a lot of secret spots. I recommend renting out a house, you’ll get plenty of space that’s reasonable priced. Apartments are so overpriced in AZ, on top of the petty fees they have.

Sorry but Phoenix is not worth spending over 3k unless its a home. I used to live there. North Scottsdale not so much Phoenix. Scottsdale, North Scottsdale, Biltmore and Paradise Valley are the only areas worth spending more than $2500. DT Phoenix now have THE Zone where there's blocks of drug addicts and homeless people living. After dark DT isnt the place to be, its weird. The light rail has a lot of homeless people on there too. Just fyi.The Townhome in Phoenix is nice. Single family home was nice. Need to make sure you drink a lot of water and watch out for scorpions and snakes.

I’m from New Mexico renting Scottsdale area paying $3.4k:( I’m thinking about changing careers because the complex is filled with software developers as a electrician it sounds like a beautiful lifestyle

@@marianb2530 during the Pandemic when loads of people migrated to Phoenix, prices shot up. Phoenix used to be reasonable. This changed after 2009 then worsen in 2021. People sad paying cash for homes and there was bidding wars. Its was a mess.

How exciting! Funny cuz Phoenix MIGHT be where I'm moving to in a few months as well. I'll be visiting Arizona and a different state next month to look at places, so we shall see! I LOVE watching apartment hunting/tour vlogs so this was fun to watch and congrats on whichever place u guys ended up picking!!! My guess is on the townhouse (the last one to be exact haha) !! 😄

Downtown Phoenix is growing but not enough for you to live there at that price. Id highly recommend the Scottsdale/Paradise Valley area or even Tempe. I know its closer to his job probably but youd genuinely enjoy Scottsdale so much more, I promise

I lived in Chandler, then Scottsdale, then Phoenix in all of 5 years. I can see you in Old Town Scottsdale. But I loved Chandler. Auwatukee and Gilbert is also nice. Downtown Phoenix can get sketchy. Also try the apartments or homes near the Biltmore mall. I used to live around the corner from it and it’s nice over there.

I also like the home with the light wood flooring, catch 22 being home alone, plus is being able to garden, have private space for Stormi either one will be cute. I hate moving and also love being able to have a fresh start.

I'm a few days late, but don't get an apartment facing West. I've lived here since 2019 and lived in a West facing apartment for 3yrs. It's BRUTAL in the summer, lol. We just purchased a home and we're now Southeast facing. So much cooler inside and out electric bill for a 2 story 4bed home is now lower than the 2bed 2 bath apartment we had. 😮

Hi Neiicey, hope you picked the last townhouse ! I did like the space with the white and gold appliances but lacked natural light bc it was in a corner. The spacious outdoor balcony space in the apartment before that one was amazing! The other house was nice too! I'm sure you two will pick a great one

I agree on apartment no. 2. I think you guys picked the last townhouse. Be careful with Stormie outside I live in the southwest too and if you have small animals watch out for coyotes, hawks and owls.
