Finally left the church in 2021 and it's incredible how perspective changes. When I was a Mormon, I resisted any suggestion that the church wasn't true. Now I look at things people in the church say and wonder "How did I ever believe in any of this?" It truly does make us blind
I’m a born again Christian and cried a lot during your speech 1) sadness for the lost (mormons) and 2) for joy (that you found Jesus) 😀❤🙏
God bless you. Miitz. I left the Mormon church a number of years ago. I rwas born again and live in God's will with prayer, Bible study and Great Glorious Gratitude for God's mercy and forgiveness. Dai!y he gives me hope and faith, and mercifully grants me salvation in my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Your story deeply touched my heart and actually gives me hope for the Mormon friends I left behind. My daily prayer is to grow closer to him, to develop a deeper relationship.
Left the Mormon church after 20 years. Missed so much of the word of God as this only came round in bible study every 4 years as "other scriptures" were being taught. Been out and saved since 2009 now baptised in 2010. Pray for Mormons
Your story is so inspiring. When I left Mormonism 2 years after I'd joined, and been married in the temple, because I wanted a real relationship with Christ and wanted to actually believe the whole Bible, my husband just immediately left me and his whole family cut me off immediately. I prayed for a story like yours, but I know God has a plan when challenges like these occur! God bless you for your strength throughout your journey and your ability to share your powerful story.

How are you now?
Come back every now and then to watch this testimony ,God is good ,God is great,God is now and never to Late.JESUS………
Hi there, im a christian from yorkshire, England and have a fantastic respect for your testimony. Having ur entire belief system crumble and to still come out with true luv for Jesus and understand his sacrifice for us is amazing. I truly believe that letting them see the love we have for jesus is the best way to show anyone. You are truly an INSPIRATION. GOD BLESS YOU.
this is absolutely beautiful.. i grew up LDS, and was brought to the Truth in Christ 3 years ago, this brings me so much joy watching your lovely testimony!
I'm born again. My wife and I stopped at Nauvoo, Ill this past summer. The LDS owns a lot of property there and there is also a Temple. We took a horse-drawn wagon ride around the property and a lovely Morman girl was our host. She was so enthused about her LDS faith. Then we took an ox-drawn ride and had the same experience. These girls were on their 2-year mission. I felt very bad for them. We enjoyed our stop at Nauvoo, but left a bit saddened. The Morman church has done such a good job indoctrinating its members. Coming out of Mormonism must be very rare and difficult. Only the Holy Spirit can change a heart.
"It's all about Jesus, he's all you need..." That's it, folks! That is it. Not Jesus plus this or Jesus plus that, it's just Jesus.
I am ex-mormon !!!! And couldn't be happier! I have amazing Mormon friends who love me and I love them. Jesus is Savior! Only through Him and His word we find the light 😁
A group of Christians were gathered in Manti Utah for the LDS Pageant. Many of these kind folks travelled far and gave up 1-2 weeks of their time to bring the true Biblical Gospel to the LDS people in Manti. It's a wonderful outreach! God Bless!
I'm an atheist (ex-Christian, ex-Buddhist) and even I liked this video. Mitz seems like a strong and amazing person. I'm so impressed that she can speak so well to a group like this! Would love to hear what Christian denomination she is a member of and get an update on her path!

There is no such a thing as ex-Christian, you just never was.
Your husband is a good man. He loves you so much! I’m so glad you loved him enough to listen.
For some reason, I was really moved by this testimony. I kept crying over it, and I'm a guy! God is just amazing!

I cried too. God is awesome. Precious mom's heart of Mitz and how He came to show her how big He is. Can't wait to meet you and ALL your kids in heaven. I'll have a few siblings to meet for the first time up there as well.
i first watched ur video when i was an active member of the mormon church and it made me mad,but then it got me thinking,i started asking questions which they wud just twist around til it suited themselves,i started to research the history and began to question why i was in this church that just tells lies.i didnt want my daughter being brought up beliving things that wer false and a history they change just to suit themselves.ive since resigned my membership and have never been happier, thanku for sharing.im an ex mormon and proud and have never been happier! thankyou!
I know this video is old but it is so great to hear. I love what is said toward the end; "just because you don't see the impact you've made, doesn't mean you didn't have a profound impact." I feel like she would be someone I would love to have as a bestie.
Love the purple shirt story. It really strikes home with those of us who were in that Mormon culture for a long time. The colors compared to white and black only reminds me of the book The Giver.
Left the Church in 1989 after 17 years. I too realized that Jesus was never taught. A very thankful Christian!!
One hour ago my husband prayed for our 3 year old that had high fever, and as he prayed she cooled down in seconds. WHAT an amazing Jesus we have! I am so thankful! :)
You have a great husband! Thank God, bless both of you!
My husband is a ( on the verge of leaving )mormon. I am born again. What they believe is actually very scary
Thank you for making your video . I left the mormonsim in 09 and recently had been born again

Thank you Mitz, powerful and beautiful, the Lord Jesus has done and continues to do a wonderful work in your witness
Thank you so much Lynn, Micheal! I spent 50 years as a Mormon but left the Mormon Church to become "Christian". If you understand the Bible then you understand the many, many problems of doctrine of the Church that directly contradicts the teachings of the New Testament. I taught Seminary, was Primary President, Young Woman's President, and Sunday School teacher many times. I have a degree in History. The LDS Church whitewashes it's history. Joseph Smith killed three people the day he was "martyred". So many other problems. My grandmother was a Barlow from the polygamous Barlow group in Utah that claimed to have the blessing of the apostles even after the Manifesto. She escaped in the early 1940's when her father tried to marry her off to a much older man. Originally polygamy didn't bother me so much because the church always pointed to the Old Testament. The problem is that the more I learned about how Joseph Smith actually lived ... polyandry, it wasn't polygamy at all, I felt very deceived. Also, polygamy is something that was practiced but it was never of the Lord. It actually divided families and drove the wedge in the Kingdom of Judah. A man and a woman becoming "one flesh" never envisions polygamy, which is clearly more than one flesh. So many other things I could say here. I am so grateful that I don't need a church to be saved by Jesus. I need a Church to stay strong in the gospel... but not to be saved. Jesus, and only Jesus, does that.
here it is almost 10 years past initial publication and I must commend your testimony. I listened to every bit of it and found it captivating. I pray all is well with you all and praise God for plucking you from the fire. He is good is he not?
I ended up here from watching flds videos. Wow this is all a shock to me that this all exists. I am so grateful your husband did not give up on you. God bless!
So true about the no mention of Jesus other than prayer during one conference I had like an image in my head of General Authorities circling saying Joseph Smith over and over, final straw was opening a meeting with Praise to the Man.
To hear a heart warming life event from darkness to light in Jesus Christ is very up lifting. Many are going through that now. Families turning their backs is heartbreaking. Freedom in Christ is truly freedom in life.
Thank you for sharing this. I appreciate your words. Your love in all you have said has helped me understand A LOT more than I thought I knew, you know? I am an ex-Mormon and needed to hear these words at this exact time. Thank you, Mitz, for the work you do. Thank you; thank you; thank you! - Nick
I grew up as a Mormon. I hardly remember reading from the Bible. Most of our readings were from the book of mormon. I felt trapped in that church and totally brainwashed. When I was a teenager I was then forced to go by my mother after I told her I did not want to be a Mormon any longer which made me hate it even more. The more I learn about the church as I grow up the happier I am that I am no longer a part of it. I feel more at peace now than I ever did as a Mormon.
Because of Jesus I'm not Mormon Her testimony makes sense
God bless Mitz for sharing that! I grew up in a fundamentalist Mormon family and had a very long and winding road to the feet of my Lord Jesus Christ which including many years as a more of less agnostic. Wonderful testimony!
Beautiful testimony ❤️ Jesus is all we need!!!
Thanks Mitz for having the courage and strength to share your story publicly for me and others to glean from.
I could watch this a million times and still love it. Her journey is amazing and inspirational.
It feels as though her words come straight from the heart. Very rare to see such raw honesty in the public domain. Thank you and God bless

I have known Mitz for years now. Authentic indeed. I am encouraged by her enduring, genuine faith.
“He fishes and I read to him.” Something about that is so beautiful. What a loving husband.
Mitz your testimony brought me to tears. It took me several years to actually leave after finding out all the dirt. The New Testament helped me to know I HAD to leave.
Thank God for His love and grace! Thank you Jesus Christ for dying for me!
This was an excellent testimony and an excellent approach to reaching Mormons with the power of Jesus!
Great testimony, i've been witness to mormons for many years, some got saved and alot rejected the message. Great reminder for the believers
So honest and vulnerable! Thank you so much, Mitz Nelson! Lord, please bring Mormons to You. May they know Your Truth, Mercy, and Love! Christians, please pray with me for the Salvation of the Mormon church.
Just watched this what a blessing. I was a Mormon for a whole 6 hours. I actually threw the elders out of my home.
What a great speaker! Thank you!
I’m glad listening to this. I’ve got family friends down the street who are part of the Mormon church and I’ve been trying to find a way to share with them in love and having a hard time with it
I was raised Lutheran and stayed in the church until I was about 16..My friends in High School were going to the Baptist Church and I went to all the events and became a Baptist. Then my husband that man I loved said he couldn't marry me unless I became Mormon. I did after I took the 6 lessons... I was lied too, deceived, They never told me that they did not believe in the same God, the same Jesus, or Spirit... I stayed married for 33 years.. raised three kids Mormon.. two were married in the temples.. So, I think I know Mormonism. Young proclaimed that Adam was Michael the Archangel, and that he was also the Ancient of Days. Young went on to conclude that Adam was, in fact, "our Father and our God, and the only God with whom we have to do." In this message, Mormonism's second president explained that Eve was only one of Adam's wives and that Jesus Christ "was not begotten by the Holy Ghost." Instead, Young said, He "was begotten in the flesh by the same character that was in the garden of Eden, and who is our Father in Heaven." Mormons teach that Jesus Christ, suffered for sin in the Garden of Gethsemane when He sweated "as it were" great drops of blood. Mormons totally avoid the Biblical teaching of Christ atonement for sin being accomplished on the Cross. However, the Bible clearly teaches that the atoning work of the Lord Jesus Christ was done on the cross. According to LDS popular LDS thought, Jesus married several of the Marys of the New Testament. Orson Hyde, the Mormon Apostle said, "We say it was Jesus Christ who was married in the marriage of Cana of Galilee." (Journal of Discourses ) A LDS Book. “If they want a beardless boy to whip all the world, I will get on the top of the mountain and crow like a rooster. I shall always beat them…. I have more to boast of than ever any man had. I am the only man that has ever been able to keep a whole church together since the days of Adam. A large majority of the whole have stood by me. Neither Paul, John, Peter, nor Jesus ever did it. I boast that no man ever did such a work as I. The followers of Jesus ran away from Him, but the Latter-day Saints never ran away from me yet.” (Journal of Discourses vol. 6, pp. 408-9) When I left the church after my husband died.. I said I wanted my records removed and it took an act of congress... It meant the possibility of losing my children and grandchildren.. and I did, But, I had to get right with God... I rejoined the Lutheran Church MS- with reaffirmation of my Baptism and a reaffirmation of my Conformation I couldn't be happier or more at Peace..
Jesus is amazing. The depth of love is awesome. Thank you for sharing. I have a good friend who is a Mormon that I pray for frequently.
Powerful breakthrough! I was a Mormon from age 8 because I asked to know Jesus & all my family knew was Mormonism because they’ll come to your house & unbelievers wouldn’t need to go into the church “easy way out” long story short I wanted to know God sooo much & be closer to Him. Till age 17 & I prayed if I should be a missionary because everyone else is pushing me that way. & God loves me so much He Lead me to know in my heart this is not the “true church” & The Book of Mormon is false teachings. I felt Jesus’ Love & Grace almost 3 years ago. & Now I share my story because of my loving relationship & walk with Christ. & I’ve been blessed tremendously being in community with Christian families & friends. Praying for my family & slowly I’m hoping they open their eyes to being chained & held captive in a religion. Walking with the Lord brings so much comfort & joy in my heart. Continuously being humble & obedient to share my revelation & life transformation with many people. Because I was once blinded, but now I see through Christ pure life, example & Godly Character. Thank you for sharing, Amen!
I thoroughly enjoyed watching this testimony! Praise God, He makes all things new🙏🏻
This was powerful and just what i needed to hear today!
I loved what you said about being hungry for God and being empty while you were still in the Mormon Church. I'm also an XM and I think that a lot of Mormons are hungry and empty, but the Church keeps them too busy to really take stock and notice it. Thank you for sharing - I loved your story!
You and your husband, sound like AMAZINGLY BRAVE PEOPLE ,, to follow GODS true calling in your life,, and for stepping out,, x
Wow, wow, wow! This is so profound and I love it.
Hi Mitz: May the Lord keep blessing and guide you and lead you as you strive to keep sharing the marvelous work and wonders He is being doing in your Life. I was a Mormon myself and I serve a mission term 1981-1983. God set me free from that cult too. Darkness could be hide behind a facade of nice buildings, social gatherings, firesides, family home evenings and "general conferences" . Praise the Lord that he removed that Darkness and Now we walk in Light away from that Cult.
This is so beautiful!!!!Thank you for sharing!
Please pray for my ex-boyfriend. He's a Mormon and I'm a Christian. We recently broke up because we both felt that God was telling us that we're not supposed to be together at this time. I really hope and pray that your testimony can be ours and that God will call us to be together again. I know that God can do this and I'm standing on His promises. Any prayers are appreciated ❤🙏
Thank you, Mitz, for boldly sharing your amazing story of how the Lord lovingly brought you out of the Mormonism and The Church of Latter-Day Saints!
Mitz, thank you for this powerful reminder 1 Cor 1:18 “For the message of cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to those who are being saved it is glory of God.”
I got here from watching a 1980s KFC Training Video lol
Yes, but the Mormon Jesus can't save me! I would have to work very hard to get to the top of the Celestial Kingdom. The Mormon Jesus can't save me but the real Jesus can.
Beautiful testimony
This is regarding Mitz Nelson, it was a pleasure listening to her tell about her first experience in the Christian Church and how her husband managed to get her to try to understand and go. Never being a Morman myself self I learned several things from listening to her and not having much of a family of my own literally, they have passed away. Living alone 25+ years after my div. it is a lonely world. Mitz Nelson, not only made my eyes tear up, but she also made me laugh out loud. She has a wonderful way of talking about her conversion to Christ, she's funny and at times very serious. God bless her for telling her story about her life and God to bless you Aaron Shafovaloff.
@3Deditor I was pointing out the difference in our interpretation of what a testimony is. To a mormon, a testimony is a spiritual witness given by the Holy Ghost. In this ladies testimony she said she never had that. The foundation of a testimony is the knowledge that Heavenly Father lives and loves His children; that Jesus Christ lives, that He is the Son of God and that He carried out the infinite Atonement. Her testimony was more about her strained relationships etc as I prev. mentioned.
Thank you for your wonderful testimony, Mitz! God is using your story to help others see the TRUTH. It gives me hope that my wife (Tammy) might one day understand she has been decieved. May the Lord continue to bless you and your family. It was nice to meet you guys yesterday in church.
How do you know when you are in a cult sign #8: what they do to you when you try to leave it....
What I love about social media is the lasting effect of a testimony! I have a friend who's a Mormon and after some study on Mormonism I too have seen the common thread of all cults and religions vs. Biblical Christianity- namely the removal of and substitution of WORKS for GRACE. So I appreciated your mention of this. I think it's important too to remember as a side issue all the relationships people build in churches that are lost due to our newfound understanding of God's Word the Bible.
Mitz, thank you for putting yourself out there.
the best lines in this whole video are : Mitz: I think we might try the Christian church . Kids: What Christian Church? Mitz: It's the one Dad sneaks to, to pray with Christians.
I can't wait till my wife is this far along, I'm still in the apostate stage hoping to be changed, she knows I'm right though, she believes I know exactly what I'm talking about but all her family is active and ignorant about doctrines or scriptures.
Waw! what a testimony! God be with you.
Excellet testimony! I sure hope you and your family are doing well.
Awesome awesome awesome Mitz Nelson. You are so encouraging, honest, sincere and open, and such a wonderful light for LDS that are still, "the beautiful dead". LoveInJesus
All I can say is this is a powerful testimony and I here Jesus speaking to the masses loud and clear, wow just love her transformation. Praise God, Thank you Jesus, Amen I will be sharing this all over. Thank you for sharing.
I like her sincerity. She KNOWS what works for her, the family she's in, what it does for her feelings of wanting to follow (her) Truth. Truth & FACTs are Two Different things!
Brainwashed....yes. We just left after 9 years. Your story gives me peace. Thank you Jesus.
Wow! What a heart-rending testimony of your journey out of the false religion started by the heretic Joseph Smith. I wish more of my Catholic friends would take our faith more seriously by studying catechism and learning Scripture in a concerted way. Praise to You, Lord Jesus Christ! Son of God and son of Mary! King of Endless Glory!
Sister Mitz, I know this is a couple of years old but welcome to the family. May your testimony continue to bring glory to our Lord and Savior. Thank you for sharing!
Powerful. Thanks for sharing.
thanks for sharing this! once i learned that history corroborates events in the bible, all of my resistance fell away. "what's not to believe then?" once you open your mind and your heart to the possibility, the rest is easy!
Hallelujah !! Amazing testimony Glory to God!!
Awesome testimony..God is just
I respect your decision but I felt I needed to comment on the Jesus thing you were talking about. I go to seminary every morning and church every Sunday and Christ is the fundamental part of every lesson, the cornerstone our religion, and it really makes me sad you think otherwise. I wish you the best.
Very encouraging. Thanks for posting Aaron.
I've always wondered why Joseph Smith's writings were done in flawed Elizabethan English. Was he mimicking the King James Version of the bible?
I LOVE BORN AGAIN STORIES. Love this one ! She is fun to listen to and her happiness gives me chills. God Bless you Mitz. You made my day :)

A Lifetime movie. It's perfect.
Matthew 22:30 “For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.” This Contradicts sealing and becoming gods in one scripture!
I was a Christian then a Mormon and now I'm a Christian again. I got caught up in it when I was 16 (baptized at 18) because of the families are forever deal. I needed that so bad, I could taste it. The only thing is, after I was baptized, I began looking into the church and found out stuff that the Missionaries neglected to tell me, (Cont.)
Thank you so much for sharing! The Lord is good. So encouraged
This one Brought Me to Tears, As I can relate with Her Husband . what a great Story
"This is exactly what Satan wants, to distract us from what really matters." --- But moralism is *not* what ultimately matters. Christ is what ultimately matters. The gospel is what ultimately matters. And the gospel is not "Be good." The gospel is, "You are BAD, and Jesus is good. He died on the cross for you. Believe in his person, in his promises, and pour out your life for him. His word. His truth. And THEN be good." Jesus said, "Watch out for false prophets." Does *that* also matter? Yes.
Knowledge is power; knowledge is freedom. Never stop learning! :)
I love what she said,"He lead me to the desert to famine,to be empty so, he(the Lord Jesus) could fill me." Amen Praise God....we all need to be lead to the desert so He can fill us! What a great testimony she has!
This was wonderful to listen to! It encouraged me big time! Thank you!
Thank you. You've touched millions. :)
"If the Son shall therefore make you free...Ye shall be free indeed"! John 8: 36 TRUTH matters! I'm so happy for you Mitz! God Bless.
What a testimony! May the Lord continue to use you and your family for His glory in Jesus name. May His blessings and protection rest upon you guys forever
What a Beautiful testimony..... I never stop praying for us all ... 🦋♥️
I pray for all LDS members...that they will find the truth. I was one...born into it...4th generation as well. Only the truth will set them free. I'm so grateful for the grace of Jesus! I'm so grateful that I truly found Him! Thanks for sharing your story!
