Did you know that in the early 80s the Raegan administration decided to create a government funded but private organization in order to foment democratic and pro-US ideals through funding and supporting activist groups and political parties. These operations were formerly operated through the CIA but it was decided that an officially non-governmental organization being responsible would alleviate the eventual backlash from running these ops. The NED has been directly linked to the arab spring and euromaidan for example. The anti-government sentiment against Gaddafi eventually escalated into a full blown civil war where the UN intervened that destabilized the country to this day and in large part led to the refugee crisis of 2015-2016. Euromaidan resulted in regions of Ukraine declaring independence and an eventual civil war where Russia intervened. "A lot of what we do today was done covertly 25 years ago by the CIA."
