I'm emotional... | Ted Lasso 1x10 REACTION
welp, I cried, no one is surprised. there was so much that happened this episode but we played against Jamie and Roy did the THING!!! then I cried over Roy but I knew that was coming 🤣we hit them with that Lasso Special but it wasn't enough 😭 my heart broke watching Jamie be treated that way by his father and I'm hoping we get him back soon somehow!! I cannot wait to see what journey we go on in season 2 now that we are all together as one large family that wants to succeed!! 🩶

Almost every character goes through growth. There are treasures in each season. I wouldn’t want to spoil anything for you.

Loving re-living this show with you! If you go back to that scene where Ted yells at Jamie in the locker room - the "It's PRACTICE" scene - you can literally see Jamie dissociate. I didn't pick up on it first viewing - because I didn't know his backstory. Seeing the abuse from his dad - like actually seeing it, not just hearing about it - put together that piece of the puzzle. Ted was yelling at him and he was *terrified*. I love Jamie.

this is such a great point! I'll totally have to go back and check it out now knowing what I know about that relationship! 🩶
This show to the very end is full of call backs, and it's done brilliantly.

I'm already loving all of the call backs! everything is done and said for a reason and that's one of my favorite things! 🩶
First season begins and ends on a close up of Rebecca.
The actor who plays Jamie, Phil Dunster, is apparently really lovely irl. Someone who worked on the show said he was the nicest person on set, and fans who have met him always have really nice things to say as well 😊

oh that is so so lovely to hear!! he does such a great job of playing someone so cocky but I love that he is so kind!! 🩶
As crazy as it seems, even though this episode was a 'finale' almost 90% of it was actually setup for the next two fantastic seasons.

The Ted Lasso actor was actually hospitalized from hitting his head on the door frame. And still stayed in character

I'm now 53. I have watched A LOT of television since I was 6. That's 47 years where I have watched the best that UK and US television has had to offer. I've seen classics made before i was born, I've watched dramas that have has worldwide acclaim, I have seen shows so well know that phrases from them have entered into common usage on both continents. This show has jumped into my top five TV shows of all time. It is a pleasure to rewatch this show with you on your reaction channel.

wow!! I can't wait to see the rest of this show and get to experience the full thing, it's so incredible already! 🩶
7:09 That was apparently a very real bump on the head; Hannah (Rebecca) was really surprised and concerned, and Jason (Ted) was really trying to assure everyone behind the camera that he was okay 😂

Outside of the US, soccer has relegation, if you finish in the bottom x, you’re sent down to a lower division, while the top x, is lifted to the top league. Makes it more competitive. In the Championship, the league Richmond will be in next season, teams that finish 1 and 2 are automatically promoted, while 3-6 are in a playoff for the final spot.

I actually really like this and think this should be a worldwide thing!! it makes them try harder I feel like 🤣 there's actually something to work for!
One mark of how good this show is IMO is that (as they basically make explicit with Keeley and Rebecca's conversation) people who previously couldn't care less about football are still fully invested in the matches because they care about the characters. The power of good storytelling :). (and yep, how it works at least in the top two English leagues is, the bottom three teams are relegated to the league below and the top two teams from that league are automatically promoted then there're playoff games for the third promotion spot - relegation can be a disaster for a club because there's a lot less money from e.g. broadcast TV rights in lower leagues)

yes exactly! this show makes it so welcoming for people who aren't originally a fan of the game and I adore that!! 🩶 thank you for this fact!! 🩶
Great fun watching you experience this show. You *get* it. And there's a great deal of great stuff still to come in the next two seasons, so enjoy the ride.

We all knew Roy Kent was pretty much finished as a player going into this game - it's been hinted at since the very first episode - but I love that Ted gave him the opportunity to go out in a blaze of glory like that. Whatever Ted's flaws as a coach may be, he can tell so often exactly what his players need and I adore that about him.

Season 1 in the books! Ive enjoyed your reaction along the way! A lot of other reactors get caught up in the game tying goal and forget it isn't over yet, you caught it just in the nick of time! Maybe you might have been able to save the game 😉

I think it's more that a draw is considered unnatural just like kissing your sister. It's not a phrase I've heard before.
Higgins’ wife in the show is his wife in real life.
A Pixar end to the season! I love the Lasso Special. 😂 the soldier was holding binoculars showing Jamie that Ted sees him.

the lasso special was so ICONIC 🩶I knew it was going to be good, but I wasn't expecting to be THAT good 🤣
Jamie's dad is a real POS. Easily the character I like the least in the series. The look on Ted's face when Jamie is being abused by his father is incredible. The note and army man finally got through to Jamie that Ted's feelings toward him are genuine, not mind games, and even if his dad isn't proud of him, Ted is.

for sure, him and Rupert seem to actually just suck so terribly bad! I loved the note and the army man- and the whole idea that he's giving him to him for protection, ugh, so touching 🩶
