Agreed! As a contract lawyer, I'm sure there are many legal reasons she can't share the whole truth. But at the end of the day, many of those lawyers are also hired by her and work FOR her, so she should be able to use their help and see how much she can truthfully disclose. As you point out, however, the real issue here is that she still doesn't seem to appreciate the important of full and honest disclosure.

This is what I have been saying. I wish that Kalyn HAD fought her for Koze. Kalyn said she had lawyers telling her she would win the case and it wouldn’t cost her anything? Great! DO IT. I know you don’t want to, I wouldn’t either because it's also not my personality, but this is how the villains gain power. DO NOT allow someone to take advantage of your good nature. You need to stand up for yourself when it's the right thing to do, as uncomfortable as it may be. There is no reason to sacrifice all of your hard work over to someone like Jaclyn if you don’t have to. I wish she would have fought for what she invested so much love and life into. Now Koze has just died out completely, and that's the real tragedy. It meant so much to Kalyn and now nobody has it.

And I’m willing to bet that the reason she’s saying stuff along the lines of “I didn’t support my brand being at Ulta because I was too depressed and felt like a failure,etc” is because Forma is getting ready to sue for breach of contract. you can be successful in an oversaturated market, people have been doing it for years. With Jaclyn i believe she just did not do enough research on the jewelry industry. Aaliyah Jay's jewelry line has been doing fine but that's because Aaliyah is known for fashion and beauty and loves to accessorize, she knows how to push jewelry to her following. Jaclyn on the other hand, i believe she got lost trying to succeed in something that was out of her element, which resulted in the poor sales for her.

I don’t think I’ve ever left a negative comment before but I feel strongly that while you’re taking accountability and that’s a good thing and didn’t research the name of one of your brands, the other creator is not a “small” creator and has over 1M followers and said they reached out to you not the other way around BEFORE you launched and didn’t get a response. That person experienced a lot of personal pain because they were not able to continue producing content and selling merchandise under that name any longer that they had used for years and that’s just not right. To new beginnings for everyone.

That's why I don't believe anything she says in this video. If she really wants to take accountability she needs to be truly honest and admit she has not been kind to others. She never reached out to kaitlyn the original koze owner... As a matter of fact she posted a nasty video in response that was of Jacilyn adding Koze brand owner to her instagram account and she also made that "at least they trademarked it" joke in a video a few months back almost mocking the poor girl for not trademarking it. Not to mention this girl had to completely rebrand and now it was all for nothing cause Jacilyn decided she doesn't want the name anymore. Sounds like something someone very entitled does.

The thing with Koze is so much worse knowing that you knew about the other owner yet you still moved forward without getting a response from her...

I never leave comments but this one got me pissed. I watched Kalyn video and I cannot believe that she didnt receive ANY COMPENSATION. UNBELIEVABLE! Jaclyn didnt even reach out to Kalyn but yet in this video act like she did nothing wrong. Karma is real and im glad it all went to shit; very good lesson for everybody.

She took zero accountability here… she doesn’t own Jaclyn cosmetics, morphe does and they went bankrupt, which is why Jaclyn Cosmetics is basically no longer. The original creator of Koze reached out to Jaclyn and Jaclyn did nothing… everything she’s saying here is just to save face, not to take accountability or because she feels bad about the people she’s stepped on trying to climb to the top.

@@jonigomes9023 Some Ulta stores are no longer carrying it. In fact some of them even have her makeup on a sale because they are about to stop carrying it. You have to pay attention to whats happening, not just whats online or in stores. Products can be in store one day and out the next.

Why didn't she trademark the name? Im. I'm new to this drama and I didn't know about this whole Koze brand situation because not only do I not buy from Jaclyn, but I don't know who the other girl Kalyn is. From reading the comments, I've seen that people are saying that Kalyn has been doing Koze for FIVE years now and that she had a loyal fan base and that her stuff was always sold out because it was popular amongst her fans. Trademarking a brand that is your LIVELIHOOD and PASSION is business 101. It's be bare basic common sense of business. It's not expensive to trademark something. ESPECIALLY if this brand is feeding your family. Why wouldn't she have spent the money from a few orders and trademark the name to protect herself? It's such basic common sense. I am not a business woman and even I know better. Can you explain why she didn't trademark her beloved brand that fed her family and "meant the world to her"?

Jaclyn, I can tell that you really want to be this person that you portray to be. I have been a LONG time follower, eating up anything that you have thrown my way. Anything you've said, any brand you pushed, any product you pushed I ATE IT TF UP. I did not read into the drama or drama channels, I felt like you were SO genuine. But, after years went by, I noticed a change, WHICH IS NORMAL, people change. But, it wasnt for the better. I had really hoped that when you found love and a new form of happiness that things would change and you would go back to being the genuine Jaclyn that we all knew was still buried in there. Then, you stole someone else's brand. Not only stole it, but dropped a reel with a TradeMark trying to discredit her! Someone that I admire and have been following for just about how long I have been following you. She is not a small youtuber, she has been doing this FOR YEARS. Her name is Kalyn, say her name. You could have made it right. Your team reached out once and no response.... ok how about YOU should have reached out to make things right. Woman to woman. You ripped her brand out right from under her, intimidated her on social media, and now you are just throwing it away while she had to rebrand while being a new mom. Also, you failed to mention all of the times that Kalyn reached out PRIOR to your launch expressing her concerns and feelings, NO ONE RESPONDED. Take RESPONSIBILITY for that girl. Until then, you've lost another subscriber. And when I say it hurts to do this, IT HURTS because I genuinely loved you.

Agreed! I was so excited for her first palette drop but I noticed immediately after that her attitude change. She became more of a salesman than a beauty influencer. You’re literally LYING when you say Kayln never reached out to you. She SENT YOU A MESSAGE, and if I remember correctly RIGHT after you posted about the name. telling you of the brand name.
