Jaclyn I used to struggle with my friendships until I also started my health journey, that includes my physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health. I lost people along the way, but now I am so grateful I did. I just always remember this quote “You attract who you are”, when I was negative and miserable I has those people around me. But when I started having clarity and so much love for myself, I notice that I only surround myself with positive, kind and uplifting people. That quote is so true😊

It’s not talked about enough, but truly healing and working on yourself isn’t just a new skin care routine or going to the gym or all the ways it’s romanticized now. It’s losing friends when you outgrow those relationships and mourning another loss even when it’s necessary. It’s remembering horrible moments and processing those emotions even when you thought you were “over it”. It’s so awful at times but it is so worth it when you realize one day that you are in a healthy space with yourself regardless of the world around you. ❤

March 3rd was 16 yrs in recovery for me and I was hard core drug addict. The people who “fell away” when I got into recovery I realized was a blessing in disguise. Did it hurt at first, of course. But people are placed in our lives for many different reasons and sometimes seasons, not all of them are meant to be around forever. I look at each person that has ever been in my life or that comes into my life is there to teach me something .. and we can always learn and grow. It’s totally ok to mourn the loss of those “friends” even therapeutic but it’s important to bounce back and look at the present for the ones you do have and the future at the potential for the ones you could meet. Keep your head up. And I’m proud of you bc I know being in that concert setting with all those people and not giving into that demon was hard.. you got this💪🏼💛✨

Proud of you girl. Losing a friend is so painful and something not talked about enough. The best friends I've lost were soul crushing, but it's like you said, it's a relationship that needed to end. I've been here from the beginning and I know from watching you all these years how invested you are in your people. No one would ever argue you're not a good friend. And also, as a long time follower, I would be SO stoked to meet you in person I would never care what you looked like lol but proud of you for getting out of your comfort zone and doing things that are hard for you like shopping alone. You’re amazing and have a heart of gold .. and the people that don’t appreciate you or want to remove themselves for your life let them walk away . They weren’t meant to be there . The journey to where you go need to be might be lonely but the true diamonds in your life that truly care about you will always be there , and continue to love you / be your rock no matter what.

Self Healing and losing friends is part of the journey. I lost a lot of friends too and saw true colors. I decided my life is better without them. I don’t have many friends just a lot of acquaintances. I just hit my 30 days of sobriety. You’re amazing Jaclyn I’ve been following you for many years && you’ve grown so much as an individual and I am super proud of you. Keep your head up. Keep stepping forward. Your journey and your healing is alll for you. ❤

There’s nothing more amazing than your journey. Witnessing you transform through sobriety and dedication to yourself and your health, peace, etc.. is just wonderful. I’m approaching 2 years of sobriety and have been tempted through so many moments of thinking I’m in a better place mentally so why not, or missing how easy it was to “relax” or “laugh” with a glass of wine. But it’s that little voice saying, “but you gave it up for a reason, and you have so much to be proud of yourself for through that journey” that makes me just let go of the thought. And it’s not easy, but you’re doing amazing.

You’re making great progress, we’re rooting for you💕 I know it hurts when your friends abandon you, especially when you’ve put so much into that relationship. I promise you that this experience will help you moving forward. It teaches you to seek friendships where both people give what they can, and neither person is stuck doing all the work. It’s tough, but it takes time to find the balance between being guarded and being selective about who you let into your life.

I was in your shoes a year and a half ago feeling like all my friends alienated me after having my second child. After working on my mental health and looking inward, I realize that there’s no point in advocating for myself and wasting energy on people that have their own issues they need to sort out. This time around I’m committed and it helps that I’m finished with graduate school and have a WHOLE day to prep. My relationships journey started about 8 years ago. Opened the Bible daily and started running habitually. Not sure why but EVERYTHING I opened the Bible to resonated so hard that it helped guide me into a healthier and happier life . Happy to have let go of the toxic ppl that didn’t have my best interests at heart. You’re doing great 👌
