Exactly. Everyone's going to have their own opinion about anything...gotta just try it for yourself, if you like something and want to see how you yourself might like it. Because opinions are just like assholes...everyone has one. Like, this influencer might not like a particular foundation, setting powder, or something, but this other one could say that they absolutely love it. Then you're left wondering why the other one didn't like it....personal preference. Makes me think of Gabriel's video when he was talking about Manny and started to say that Manny had told him you can make the audience believe whatever you want. If I see something and I want to try it, I'm going to try it for myself, because what she/he may not like, I might like it for myself.

What’s unfortunate is that I think morphe is using Jaclyn as a mule for the promo of all their products. I think the REAL issue is that “Linda” or whoever is running the show needs to totally reform morphe as a whole. Their company is way too money hungry and it’s showing. What’s unfortunate is the fact that Jaclyn is the one doing all the explaining and she’s taking the majority of the flack. Morphe should’ve put out a public statement and explained what was going on to their consumers. Jaclyn doesn’t control any of the business or production related decisions. She’s merely on the creative/marketing end of it all. Overall I think MORPHE needs to be the one addressing such things instead of having it come from the influencer they work with while they take a back seat.

I’ve always felt like Morphe is using Jaclyn as their scapegoat so they don’t have to address all of the scandals. All she is is an influencer. People give her way too much credit in regards to what she has control over behind the scenes. And I don’t mean that in a rude way. She’s just the face and who gets the sales. Linda is the one that should be addressing all of this shit instead of pushing it off on Jaclyn. That’s not to say Jaclyn is completely innocent, because I’m sure she’s not, but I don’t think she’s deserved all the hate and blame she’s gotten for Morphe’s scandals.

to be honest i don't care about the fact that influencers are earning a lot of money from sponsorships... i have a problem with the fact that it's disguised promotion/product placement that is often not mentioned anywhere in the video and should be illegal if you ask me (it is in certain countries i don't know about the US though). the thing about paying people to give negative reviews MUST be illegal in the US as well that's why i think no one is talking about it but i am sure it does happen

I love you Jaclyn! I don't care about drama and what is going on. My products have worked very well for me and I would love to see lippies, highlights, etc from you and morphe. You are doing amazing things and are so strong and I support you until the end.

The truth is , people grow out of KZread 🤷🏽‍♀️. I think Jaclyn has reached that point . Which is the reason why I think she has been promoting more than creating creative content. At this point, girl, build your brand . You’re a great seller . Great spokesperson, so I have no doubt you’d create a brand as big as Estée Lauder , MAC, Clinique, etc.... I personally think you shouldn’t rely on KZread or Morphe cause at the end of the day, they will only pay attention to the numbers that you produce in your viewership and units that you sell. You’re a business woman , and I think that people don’t get that. But I think it’s time for a new phase and a new direction for your life AND your channel. Use your audience wisely. True. All of her comments want tutorials - she’s an incredible teacher. But also if she made too many idk if people would be happy for very long. As a long time follower, seeing her branch out into her other types of videos this year didn’t seem genuine or like her brand, because she was doing things that she felt like were expected of her. I originally ordered 2 palettes the day they launched: Ring the Alarm and Bling Boss. I didn’t buy the whole vault because I didn’t think I’d be able to do anything with Dark Magic. Not really my vibe. But I was so excited about Bling Boss. My order came, and instead of Bling Boss they sent me Dark Magic. I was literally heartbroken. I used Ring the Alarm and I loved it, but I called customer service to see if there was any way they could take back Dark Magic and send me my Bling Boss. Of course, at this point they were all sold out, but the rep on the phone said I could email Morphe for a refund and hold on to the Dark Magic palette anyway. I thought that was really cool. I was still heartbroken about Bling Boss. But I was getting my money back AND getting a free palette, and I LOVED Ring the Alarm, so I was ok with it. I emailed Morphe explaining the situation and asking for a refund. Within 2 hours, I got a response back saying that they were overnighting Bling Boss to me. And I could still hold on to Dark Magic. I’m so impressed with Morphe’s customer service, there are no words. And I LOVE all 3 of my palettes, even Dark Magic, which is so far out of my comfort zone, but I watched your tutorial and I loved the look you did with it and gave it a shot. I got soooooo many compliments. I think people are assholes, and petty jealous haters, and you don’t need to listen to any of them. You’re a boss, Jaclyn. You created yet another amazing product with an amazing brand and anyone who matters loves and applauds you for it.

But what i LOVED about this video was all the different tips and secrets you shared like making sure the beauty blender doesn't drip water while applying powder', the setting spray technique before your highlight, flickering the eyeshadow to the end of your brow for a natural lifted look. i learned so much. I feel like quick videos are good cause a lot of people are on the go, but its those little things were awesome to learn. keep slaying queen !!!

Trying to word this in the nicest way I can but I truly think you need to now just focus on your own line and stop collaborating. Because you will have a lot more control over your own product and inconsistencies (if they happen )will be only on you. I think everyone is ready for your own stuff to and will appreciate a range of products by “Jaclyn hill” not “Jaclyn hill & ...”

Jaclyn I think this is the universe telling you to put the brakes on your collabs and go out into the world as your own brand. Own it yourself, develop it yourself, get into the labs yourself and cut out the middle man because that seems to be what's failing you now. I love your success, but every time something goes south you're missing part of the story or the process which in turn hurts your business. You can't take on full ownership of a situation, be it negative or positive, when it's a collaboration. It's also not fair that you're taking on the brunt of the negativity when it's a collab. Get your ducks in a row, get your act together, and get moving with your OWN brand. ❤

Yeah, I mean we don't know what's prolonging it but I agree that your own company would be an amazing thing and I can't wait to see what you do! It's very clear that your sweet spot is creating products and doing your own thing would be 100% you which would allow to support you even more. I try to play nice and keep any critique as productive as possible. I get plenty of constructive criticism in my business position. And, you seem to welcome it and learn from it. Personal jabs are so unnecessary. It just shows insecurity from the person taking personal punches. Lay off of those please... not that anyone will listen to me--- but it's so low class.

Jaclyn, create your own brand and be your own boss, only till then can you have the full control of everything. You are talented enough to do this on your own.

Honestly I think a lot of people are not returning because of having to pay for return shipping. I think that is ridiculous. We pay $6 at least in shipping and we aren't happy with the product I think Morphe should pay for return shipping labels.

Jaclyn I have watched you from the very beginning. I supported your sigma brush set which I have til this day. I also supported your very first palette with Morphe. YOU taught me how to apply makeup. I love you and appreciate your rawness. I relocated to Florida a year ago. I hope to one day run into you. I love you more than words can describe. I don’t always comment but I’m supporting. I remember you sitting in your kitchen with a clothing rack behind you, you have inspired me in many ways. Love you girl.

Only 1% being returned because it's not worth paying $15-$20 for shipping to get your money back. It's not a FULL REFUND if your having to pay shipping AGAIN to get your money back.

If Morphe is still having problems with inconsistencies then i think they need a better quality control dept. Also Jaclyn, if u can't count on Morphe to do quality control while manufacturing palettes with your name on it, then u may not want to collab with them any longer. Your name Is your livelihood and how you make your money. I don't want to see u get punished for something out of your control. I luv u Jaclyn.

Did you not hear the part when she talked about how she doesn’t actually know where the inconsistency are coming from? She said when she tries to reach out and talk to the people who are giving it bad reviews they change up what they originally said about the pallets and say it’s actually good and they don’t even want a refund or to exchange the pallet they originally had.

A few things: I think a lot of comments are getting deleted, and the skewing of feedback from your audience really bothers me. Second, I’ve always liked you a lot, Jaclyn, and I think you have a good heart. You seem like a good, decent person. People want to paint you as evil, and I don’t believe that about you. My biggest issue the past few years is that I simply can’t relate to you anymore. I’ve lost interest because your content has been inconsistent and uninspired, and because you sell us a lot, yes, but first and foremost, I just can’t relate to you anymore. Your life, or what you show of it, couldn’t be further from mine. Your audience will shift and you’ll pick up viewers who do relate to who you are now, but it won’t be me. I’m not unsubscribing, but I’m not as die-hard of a fan as I once was. I felt like I could connect to you like a friend, but now I only see ‘celebrity’. Be who you want to be, show what you want to show, but just know that how you present yourself to people has an impact on whether they can connect with you or not, and that costs audience too. It’s not just the Morphe, Morphe, Morphe and the selling, or the lack of content, it’s back to relating to people.

It's a hell of a big problem. Nobody deserves that much money for doing what beauty gurus/influencers do (or to be fair anybody that earns that much). It's so absurd yet most people accept it and that's why things are not gonna change any time soon. There's men and women who risk their lives just to be able to have some kind of financial security, and still struggle paying rent. I might not be the most optimistic person ever, but I believe that rich people are just gonna become richer and poor people are gonna become poorer. It's not sustainable.

all I want to say is that I 100% agree with you, the hard workers of those professions deserve to be paid more for what they do then beauty influencers. however, that isn't a battle we can fight by posting it on youtube. jaclyn has no control over what money she is offered. she only has control over what she does, and says, and can do. if she accepts the money the contracts the deals, whatever, thats what she can control. it isn't fair and you're right about that but this comment you've posted on someones video who has no control over the issue isn't going to fix the issue. no hate whatsoever, I hope you have a great rest of your day and I wish good fortune to you. :)

I think it's honestly amazing that morphe offers REFUNDS if you dont like a palette, even if you've opened and swtached it! Here in Italy, you can never return or get refunds for make up , if you open it/swatch it! Guys be grateful, this does not exist in Italy! After supporting her for years I just cannot stay subscribed to her. SO MANY THINGS have happened, not just with the morphe collabs, but little things that have shined light on traits of hers that I just cannot stand behind. It breaks my heart because it was because of Jaclyn that I fell in love with eyeshadow makeup. Now I dread clicking on her videos cause I know morphe is gonna be the number one product being used and talked about. ☹️

I think so little palettes have been returned is because Europeans will have to pay ridiculous fees to return. I get that's not your problem but morphe really needs to sort their returns policy ASAP. Plus in most countries in Europe you can't return makeup that has been opened if you bought it from a site other than Morphe.

It costs a shit tonne to return from Australia too! Not worth it. May as well keep shitty or broken make up. I ordered a J* palette 6 months ago through morphe and it arrived with half the colours cracked and broken. To return was gonna cost me an arm and a leg so I’ve kept it. Now I order my J* stuff through his website and have no issues
