    @valeriededmon4482 Yes, we have been eating bioengineered food since at least the 80s, probably longer. Just in the last few years have laws been passed requiring the manufacturers to put that on labels. HOWEVER... not all of them actually have "contains bioengineered food " (or something to that effect) on the label. If you notice, some have QR codes or phone numbers to call "for more information about our product." They will tell you that the product is or contains bioengineered, aka GMO, food. Sneaky, but legal. In most cases, unless the labels say "non-GMO," you are eating GMO.

    @kellyh4052 According to their website, they get their spices from about 170 countries. I didn't know they owned so many other companies (French's, Old Bay, Frank's, Lowry's, Zatarains, to name a few). There are some things that we can get only from China. The list is long, and, honestly, I doubt that we will ever be "China-free" of all products.

    The peeling plate for your food processor is basically a sandpaper disk. The potatoes will tumble around and have their skin buffed off. you end up with slightly textured veggie surface and a pile of sludge, might be challenging to clean. I've only used an industrial kitchen version, interested to hear if it's worth it at home

  • @wickedprepared

    @wickedprepared

    13 күн бұрын

    I'll definitely be testing it out and doing a review 😊 The peeling disc does look like it's designed in such a way that it will chip/slice off pieces of skin, not just buff. It's not textured or rough like sandpaper, it has raised sort of seams molded into it that look like they'll remove skin. It wasn't my reason for buying it, but if it works well, it could be a handy feature. So we'll see 😀

But my cat eats Purina. I love your videos. I learn so much. Also, I ordered a ton of seasonings from Azure & they’re delicious. I ordered the 1 lb. bags so I’m going to put it all in jars. If you live in even a semi-humid climate, you may want to put descicant packs in the jars to keep the seasonings from clumping. I learned the hard way when going through my seasonings. Some of the unopened ones are unusable. I was going back to the tiny bottles, but they are a LOT more expensive than they were 4 years ago when I got some. So far, the ones I put in jars with descicants are OK.

    With the shade, that lamp will now be top heavy. I recommend building a base to use with it to make it more stable if used. I happen to have found, year ago, a guy giving away 5 lamps in perfect shape. I actually had to use those during the Texas snow apocalypse a couple of years ago. I had no power for 5 days. I was very prepared for that event except dishwashing. This year for some reason I am worrying about winter early.

    It's just me here. At 67, on Tuesday 😵‍💫😯😉, and I, thankfully don't take any prescriptions meds but I do take many supplements. Whenever I get around to it I'll be putting together a small dresser to hold all of my supplements, OTCs, and first aid items not in my kits. I've been stocking up on all of my supplements and OTCs. I had a Ninja food processor which I loved but it died. Now I use a string spinner food chopper and a small Ninja smoothie maker. When I get back into dehydrating, they'll work fine. If I need sliced or cubed items my slide slicer, mandolin?, will work fine. So will my hands😂.

    Why make stupid comments like that? Unless you actually want this? Pepple need to stop repeating that phrase like they're demented parrots.

    @@ethereal369it was a tongue in cheek comment however, I don't need the seal of approval of the uninformed thought police. Wallow in ignorance if you like, Tyson foods has already started using bug meal in their breading, enjoy your Tyson chicken nuggets.

    Looks like response disappeared so to answer your question again why? To make humorless thought police ask stupid questions.

    We're located in Maine, and when we say "wicked" in Maine (and much of New England) it's a synonym for "very." So wicked good = very good. Wicked Prepared = very prepared. Just a nod and to our culture here in Maine. We're very proud of where we're from and who we are ❤

    🍝 I would love to see how you reconstitute the veggies such as the green beans and asparagus or how else you might use them in jar or bag meals. There are sone great ideas here. Thanks for all you share and hope your garden continues to thrive!
