Just got the Galatron in a non modded playthrough (spent about 65k energy for it) now just need to release a vassal (wanted the 200 years at peace achievement so set the game to have no other nations but got the Awoken and subterranean pre-ftl), declare war on them, lose the Galatron, and then reclaim it

Iirc, one of the non-removable civics also increases your anomaly discover chance (at the cost of reduced pops) so for a run like this, you could've also picked it up to make it go even faster

It's the Eager Explorers civic, but you have basically prototype jump drives. It slows down exploring by a ton.

I have never gotten Bubbles before

It is possible to get the achievement without this cruel sacrifice, if you defeat the prethoryn scourge and use the relic, to gain a organic fleet. You had to defeat the scourge anyway for the achievement, how could you do this to bubbles when you dont even have to go out of your way to not do it 😢

I scrapped Nova (my name for the popular Bubbles) too ^^ Usually I just ignore her...
