As an overweight woman who was at my heaviest obese. I don’t believe an obese woman can really be genuinely happy. It just makes you feel tired, like you’re wearing a 50kg harnas literally and figuratively. You don’t feel healthy when you are extremely overweight and people who say they do don’t know what health really feels like.

I was quite overweight at points in my life. I lost a lot of weight, I can genuinely say, I was happy and I was with 2 men at different stages of my life, who adored me and my body. Still with one who actually loved my chubby body. I think when you’re very very overweight it might be difficult at times and restrict you. But let’s not generalize 🫶

And with the morbidly obese, the toll of aging on the body is a lot higher with pain and mobility. It's a sad truth, but that much weight does have a very measurable negative effect and some people want a partner who has good odds to live a long and healthy life! Imo it's like not wanting to date a smoker or a heavy drug user. It's unhealthy and people don't want to be around it.

Her family letting her get this far and calling her beautiful are to blame for her enormous size. Yes she seems confident and she seems nice, but being big isn't something you are born with and it isn't something you can't change. She can do what she wants in all honesty but if most men don't really like it, it is their right too. In all honesty, I wouldn't want a partner this big because you will lose them early because of all the illnesses they will have. And that is not fair to anyone. Love is when you try and keep your loved ones healthy not lie to them so they don't get sad. All the best for her, but she'd be happier if she experienced the thrill of losing weight and be healthy and able to be more active.

There is a genetic connection however its not an excuse. My family is bigger (not 500lbs big but still) when I noticed I was starting to get as big as my family I didn't like it and I actively worked for 3 years to lose the weight. I lost over 100lbs in 2017 and never looked back. I've worked hard to maintain my current weight. So while there is a genetic connection it's no excuse to allow yourself to become this overweight.

In fact if you are referring to models that are normally severely underweight, most men don’t actually find them physically attractive at all. There's a difference between extremely underweight and just underweight. Believe me when I say that underweight women (although not extremely underweight women) are generally considered attractive. Most japanese, south korean and chinese female celebs are generally considered very attractive, yet they fall into the underweight category. Many female celebs from the US are also underweight or close to underweight. Studies were done on this and most men picked the photographs of the women with the lowest bmi that were presented to them (bmi 18~19). We don't know if they would have picked lower if that had been an option. What seems like solid common sense to us ("healthy is attractive, unhealthy is not") is sadly not true. If it were true then no-where in the world would the ideal be dainty, fragile, pale, etc. The ideal would include signs of actual health like being active, proper nutrition, not trying to be more pale or darker than your natural color, healthy amount of muscle, being hydrated, it would be more about low visceral fat and good fat distribution than about body size. What's considered attractive is hugely influenced by multiple factors including wealth, location, culture, etc. Not just simple biology. Some men say "we don't care about beauty standards and fashion models, we want healthy, feminine and fertile looking women" yet the studies confirm that men are generally affected/influenced by beauty standards and that's what they pick the most.

You could have the BEST personality online or whatever, but, In person, it’s a huge no!! If you’re not a skinny, model looking person or looking like Kim K. Yes, she’s 100% right when she says, we’re judged just because we’re overweight. People shouldn’t be judged for their size. Maybe she needs help, and on the opposite side, if she were severely underweight, maybe she would need help. I don’t know what’s the huge fascination with judging people because of their size. Her confidence is amazing, she has a career, she knows how to dress and the only thing that seems to matter is her weight. It’s not just a person thing; it is just a most of the world thing.

Someone not wanting to date her because of her size is not judging her per se. In some regards, everyone judges their dating partner - otherwise, everyone would be equally attracted to everyone else. Being that big is gonna make it hard for many parts of the relationship, especially in intimate times. Bigger woman do have it harder in the dating world for sure. All things considered, that's not so bad. Men and woman are judged on many things they cannot change about themselves, so at least weight can change (even if it is very hard for some people).

@@starkiller23610 I understand, which is why I said she’s not just describing men; she’s talking about the world. That’s how a decent amount of the world views “bigger” people. I think she shouldn’t call men trash because, the ones she met aren’t treating her the way she wants to be treated. However, I definitely don’t think it’s a guy problem. I never really had a problem with guys, so that’s just the guys she’s encountered. In my 1st adult relationship, I was 300, and my bf was also big. In my last relationship, my bf was a bodybuilder, and I gained 60 lbs from my pregnancy a couple of years earlier, so I was bigger. I was trying to lose the weight, which I know was a big reason we started dating. Either way, men suck lol, but, she’s wrong. Her family made her feel amazing, and she wasn’t prepared for harsh reality of the world.

@@Tezah89 To each their own. I wish companionship for everyone. I will say that people will treat big people differently even in non dating arenas. At least someone as big as her. So in general she should really try to lose weight - it seems it would solve many of her issues incl. dating. Glad you don’t see men as trash. The war of the sexes is as old as time - so it’s not particularly shocking to hear, but it has become rather one sided lately.

You not being a man's type does not make him trash. Also how much respect do you expect ANYONE to have for you when you show up to a first date in see through clothing?! You aren't putting out the "respect me" vibe because you don't even respect yourself.

1. Just because men dont like you (preference) doesnt mean they are trash. 2. Go to the gym 3-4 times a week and weight 400 pounds, proof that you go there not for work out. 3. No sugar, No Soda huh,? How about carbo? Theres no way you are that big by just breathing air.

I was thinking that... one thing that makes people attractive is taking good care of themselves. If someone is severely overweight, that doesn't really indicate taking good care of oneself. Hence why men may not be as attracted to her... you gotta love, respect, and honor yourself first.

YES!!! And the key is not to write off men who prefer fat women as fetishists. As one of those men, I know the difficulty of going against social norms. At the same time we need to treat the women of our attraction respectfully. The saddest part is how fat women and their admirers continue to be at odds with each other :(

She could just date other obese dudes 🤷🏼‍♀️ problem solved. You sort of have to be open to dating what you are…if you’re obese, don’t expect to get the guy who works out at the gym everyday. He most likely wants an equally as fit woman.

Baby as a plus size woman this is NOT it. It’s very uncomfortable to even be 200 something pounds I KNOW she’s capping. I even got tired of being “plus size” and getting it taken care of. This is pure laziness ns

Her mother can be to blame for her weight problems. As an overweight (medically obese) person (I'm not Kanye lol), my mom had overfed me as a child and I was always chubby and fat back then. There was a point where I lost a lot of the excess, but through a series of depression and disorder I have gained it all and now is trying to lose. It's hard to redevelop your relationship with food and make changes to your lifestyle, but it is possible. Just look at the people on 600 lb life.

When I was in the us i see obese parents with obese children. I think is so sad for the children as many will have a difficult time loosing weight as adults and might have a lot of people judgning them.

I don't understand how people can have so much lard and be happy about without doing anything to change it. And quit lying about going to the gym and not eating sugar. Juding from the unhealthy coice of hamburgers and fries, I can safely say is this woman is not on a diet and have no interest to lose weight.

You’re very pretty and you’re very personable, but the question is, do you even love you? If you think men are trash what chances do you think you have by putting men in a limited box? If you want someone to take on life with then first you must take on yourself and clean out any negative beliefs you have about men! How can you attract a man when you say men are trash? You have to be able to say, I love men, I value men, I appreciate men and I want a man! Some men may be trash, but not all! Some have good hearts! Also, being very big isn’t a sign of health, men are looking for a healthy woman they can procreate with, not someone that they will have to take care of within a few years! So take care of your body and heal your emotional wounds! Obviously something you are doing is not working and it’s time to get real and make a change 🙏✨

Maybe you have to walk a day in her shoes to understand her perspective. She's probably had loads of experiences she can and can't share and it's hard to really get her frame unless you've been unwanted, mocked, and kept as a "secret girlfriend" by men, consistently. When you are at the end of the spectrum, I can imagine you will experience some ugly behavior that a pretty girl would never see. I've seen both sides of men and I know how men treat women who they don't find attractive

If parents have an over weight or obese child anytime before 14 they need to be sent to jail for child abuse or have their kid taken away from them. It's not fair for children to be fat, because of what their parents feed them.
