Good AA shoots down 2 maybe 3 attack planes bad AA can't even shoot down fighters lol and great AA does not exist lol to WG but love the games all the same lol

​@@fallenpalladin Some ships have great AA... Take the Pan Euro DDs for example. The Friesland and Öland will shred planes. The Cali is the king of clear skies at tier v.

Yeah, the Sky Cancer is one of the worst things about this game. I do enjoy the Odin too though, and I agree Saipan needs a Nerf.

Tell me about it, every time I get into the Odin, when I face a Saipan or Kaga or any other aircraft carrier, it is irritating to see that every single squadron targets me constantly.

I always felt like Odin and Brandenburg's speeds needed flip flopped. Being more of a battlecruiser Odin should be faster but for whatever reason Brandenburg gets that good good speed lol Also yes, Saipan is one of the most imbalanced ships in the game right now. That and Mainz are absurdly busted. A strong ship is a strong ship but when your T7 plays like a T8 you've got a problem lol

I like Odin too I do wish it had more punch sometimes. Great Winter Cup video hope it becomes a thing.

I have the odin got it from this past Christmas event in create. Love the ship. The carrier part doesn't bother me.

Yeah, sky vermin are the reason I just got the Azuma instead. At least it has semi-competent AA.

I also have that sexy Norse camo on mine too Spartan 😩 I think it’s the best camo in the game

Odin used to be my favorite German bb when it first came out . But then my turrets would get destroyed every match so I stopped playing it

I have the Saipan and it can't burn down ships,hard to deal with destroyers sometimes,I more less would rather just spot the destroyer so the team can shoot, have been getting a lot of rng lately only rolling 600 ,

Personally I would recommend the Odin, it is my most played boat, it is quite fun and lasts longer than the Tirpitz

@@SpartanElite43 I honestly feel that is part of the mm algorithm. Will get CV after CV match, until I start jumping into AA builds, then mysteriously all the CV's just vanish. I know probably not the case, but definitely feels it.

Nope, i literally punish saipan player's regularly in a destroyer... It's called Småland. Last game i took 43 planes down, because i specifically hunted planes and... He got mad in saipan. He ended last in he's team with ~400xp

I've enjoyed very good results with both the Odin and Brandenburg's guns, though the Odin performs a little bit better. I agree that the AA is lacking...I think Wargaming should allow for an AA upgrade slot where you can add some reasonable AA to your battleship, otherwise there's little motivation & justification to pursue ships like the Odin. This CV player on the enemy team was focused on the Fletcher early in the match which is correct but it's hard to say if that was continued for the duration of this match....as the red team folded rather quickly, and the Fletcher survived. As for Spartan's demise, it was the Odin's proximity to the enemy base that compelled the Saipan to engage it. Setting this Saipan's game play aside, most CV players tend to damage chase BB's as a priority. In fairness though it really doesn't matter a whole lot which ship you're in. If you're in an American battleship, let's say the Iowa or Massachusetts, and a Saipan or whatever CV decides to focus you and only on you, you'll shoot down more than two planes for certain, but you're not going to have a great time out there, and you'll be sent back to port sooner than later. There's not a lot you can do out there, when that happens. I've seen many CV players throw away their squadrons on one ship, it's as if that CV player experiences a form of Road Rage, whereby the more a battleship defies said CV's intentions, the more that player MUST show the opposing BB player who's the boss in that conflict.

Haha yeah my American BBs have definitely inflicted this Bloodlust CVs get when they simply must attack through my AA many a pilot has lost their lives to the AAA of an Iowa class BB

I mean I have found one weakness with the Saipan that I love to abuse with my Graf Zeppelin. Saipan has no secondaries.

I would like to know if the hms renown is a good ship?

Good video yeah propulsion BBs and to me HE spammers are a one trick ponies to me. If I want speed I use the Battlecruisers, I have had some good games with them thought the germans 3 damagecons suck, and I did sacrifice a lot of my baby carrots Gobal XP to force up to the Duncun from the Renown did not regret it Rooke and Hawke are fun that speed boost I have gotten many by surprise when I use it as most use it right off so when the enemy is spotted its on cool down I save it for the big things I see it as my get out of jail free card, Also yeah a good CV player can wreck your shit but thankfully that are rare, if 100 percent is all CV players 10 percent are that top tier sinking fleets. 30 percent are okay maybe getting a kill or 2 but not always, the last 60 percent have no clue or are so bad that they do not matter. I run into okay group sometimes and the last the most thing is the last are using tier 3 or 5 CVs mean ships with bad AA,

Finally, back in the Odin. I think you need to switch out von Hipper with Andrew Cunningham or Iachino or AL Scharnhorst and replace Haruna for Jaujard and put Alidad on Henry J. Hide. Odin is more suited for medium and close range, but the main guns is the Odin's main focus.

I do swap out to alidad but yeah I'd have a bit better luck with different perks for inspirations but couldn't be bothered to swap them as I usually play other secondary focused BBs with Hyde

In the meantime, if you want to avoid getting terminated by the aircraft carrier, use the catapult fighter option. If there is a carrier battle, use the fighter plane to shoot down enemy aircraft that are harassing you.

Odin is a ship I’ve never got it just doesn’t scream good to me but it can be good also yeah Saipan is completely busted it needs nerfed and it needs nerfed now

NGL. Carriers ruined the gameplay loop. They just kind of released them into the game without thinking of the need to adjust certain ships.
