Climate Temps are just a cycle, much like the earth's rotation is a cycle. And additional Cycles will be observed when analyzing on Larger/Longer Scales. The daily cycle of climate will have relatively consitent timing of highest and lowest temperatures, in terms of the time of day and also the hours between the high/low. Because Earth is rotating on its own axis there's only two periods, temp increase and temp decrease, earth's wobble on its axis should be observable as a cycle of slight variation when analyzing longer scales (wobble is ~25,000 years) Annual cycle of climate has 4 distinct periods because earth is orbiting around, while rotating on an angled axis, two periods toward the sun each at different axis angles, two periods going away at different axis angles. Not only will earth's wobble be observable within cycles of seasonal temps, but also Earth's Eccentricity, which is the variation in earth's orbit around the sun. Eccentricity has two cycles of ~100,000yrs and ~413,000 years. This to my mind is what causes climate changes on the larger scale, such as Ice Ages. Just look at the glacial/interglacial graphs and you'll notice the cycle (time between peaks) is roughly 100,000yrs. Currently earth is at the start of the interglacial period, where deglaciation occurs naturally Melting Ice and raising the sea level. Deglaciation started when the last glacial period ended close to 12,000 years ago near the Younger Dryas. Meltwater Pulse 1b happened during that event which was specifically a 7.5 m sea level rise over a period of about 160 years, centered at about 11,000 calibrated years ago I personally am not fooled by scary predictions of runaway increases in global temperature because Nature is self regulatory and very adaptive, especially considering current temp matches the current point within the glacial cycle and earth's atmosphere has been magnitudes worse in percentage/concentration of toxic chemicals many times prior to human civilization. Climate Cultists can't even define the current amount of CO2 in the atmosphere, let alone the acceptable limit. Infact they don't even acknowledge the cycle of increasing and decreasing Temp, instead claiming a temperature limit well below the cycle's natural peak, then rule that temps exceeding this limit will be justification for Authoritarianism, possibly Totalitarianism, very suspicious considering that situation would be inevitable naturally

~20,000 years ago, during the height of the last glacial maximum, the planet's average surface temperature was only about 5C COLDER than it is now. Got that? 5C Colder and thick glaciers covered much of the northern hemisphere. Only ~5C colder. On its current trajectory, if nothing is done to stem global warming, the planet could be 4 to 5C WARMER by 2100. Imagine what that would be. Catastrophic! And it won't stop at 2100. BTW, ice ages are caused by changes in the Milankovich cycles which occur over thousands of years. The climate change we're seeing now is orders of magnitude FASTER than natural, and EVERY prestigious scientific institution in the world that studies climate is telling us we are causing it! Heaven help the poor humans and other animals who come after us.

Al gore in his Oscar winning documentary said the Arctic would be gone by 2013 and polar bears would be extinct. Polar bears are thriving right now and not even on endangered list. Media was also fearmongering about 10 years ago, citing "experts" that were predicting Florida would be underwater in 7 years. Australia even warned in 1999, that in 20 years, there would be no more snow. They just had historic record snowfall. Climate has always been changing. That's why ice age is cyclical and Sahara desert was lush 10,000 years ago

Scientists don't have to predict every little detail to be right that there is a problem that we need to adress. As a example who would give a sh*t if FLoods increased by 15% or 25% rather then the predicted 20% problem is still there. Would you celebrate because your house is slightly less flooded?

But he shouldn't care about ours either cause he doesn't pay our bills either. That's what Bill is missing with his comment. That Al lied or was completely wrong.
