Iowa is actually really nice. Iowa City and Des Moines are great towns to raise a family, lots to do.

Stuck on an island that’s hard to get off lol go for a walk and tty and get lost (within reason). ((Sorry if you could die from getting lost I forget sometimes I’m surrounded by roads and people, but hiking with no plan in the national parks always fun))

I feel for the guy with Type 1 diabetes. I am a similar age and also have type 1 diabetes and it is a death sentence, Just a slow death sentence and most of the time it is not a nice "he went in his sleep" death, it is more a stuck in bed pissing blood every failing kinda death, it can also take a lot of work just to manage it, you never get a break from it, everyday it's the first and last thing on your mind and even when you are doing everything correctly it can still go crazy making you ill and leave you feeling horrible.

Dude I'm a type 1 with gastroparesis and absolutely no help. No friends or family. I'm in the hospital constantly. It's miserable and death is always the first and last thing on my mind and I'm only 25. I have a kid and a wife. Those two are all my joy and they make the suffering bearable but god do I relate. I want to make those around me happy and give everything to them but it's so hard when you can't seem to do it for yourself. People really don't understand either because they can't always see the issues with their eyes. I hope it gets easier.
