I'm experiencing hairloss. I am on finasteride and minoxidil now. I also microneedle once a week or so which I was skeptical about, but it really helps. For me the hairloss was so gradual and subtle that I honestly didn't notice for about the first 5 years when it really started happening. By the time I was really aware of the problem, it took me a few years before I was comfortable doing something about it. I've had the same barber for 15 years and in hindsight he has gently nudged me towards cuts like this over the years avoiding the direct discussion of balding until I brought it up. I probably would have been taken aback at first, but I really wish he would have straight up told me I was thinning/balding about ten years ago. I could have started medical treatment earlier when I was younger and it would have been more effective. So many men don't notice or assume they're reaching a "mature" hairline, which is of course a euphemism for the initial stages of hair loss when it's most treatable by minoxidil and finasteride.

This kid is awesome for allowing himself to be featured in a video so Dan can work his magic. I've had thin hair my whole life, making it look like i had fuller hair than i did was often an issue but i managed it well. I really started losing hair when i turned 35, but it's been more of a gradual process and happened later than i thought. My heart goes out to all the fellas dealing with hair loss at a young age. I always enjoy this channel's content, but this is something i can relate to.

As a barber, Dan didn't say anything out of place here as always. He did exactly what I would've done and executed it probably better than I would've. Nice job Dan! To this gentleman, a suggestion I could make is growing out your beard juuuussttt a little and keeping it shorter. You wanna get it to the length to where it would look the same thickness as the top of your head so there isn't any contrast in color. If it's done properly, it'll add to the illusion that your hair is thicker as well. Excited for this series!

A woman being overweight can also be genetic. People can have bariatric surgery, or try to diet, if their body will Respond to a diet. It’s never as easy for a woman to lose weight. but that is extreme - much worse than a hair transplant. Diabetes, hormones, and being mocked about your weight all your life also causes a lot of stress. Woman also get hair loss even though at a much lower statistic. Don’t try to compare the two problems, please. My wife is overweight and I’ve seen what she’s been through - including depression, just as men get while balding- I have experienced this myself and it took a long time to get to acceptance and eventually shaving my head in older age.

I’m now growing out my hair (like tangerine from bullet train lol) and slicking it, back wearing headbands like Dan wears in his videos and I would’ve never had the confidence to have my hair pulled back if I hadn’t started! Yep bro same, 23 and I actually started noticing my crown thinning I was blown away, ironically enough I started using manual fin & minoxidil. Been taking the oral option of fin & minoxidil in one capsul and their biotin gummies aswell and it as expected proper boosted the thickness & my crown is back to being thick. Best thing to do is spot it early before it’s too late. Glad the pill option is a thing cos not only is it more affective but I hate spraying minoxidil or fin in my hair cos I either forget or just hate the sticky feeling. Would generally say ignore shampoos etc the main thing you need is finasteride.

Manual do a finasteride & minoxidil 2 in 1 tablet all in 1 tablet which I use. I think that’s about £60 for 3 months worth or something. I also take their gummies tablet aswell cos it’s a biotin supplement but the main thing you want is finasteride to retain what you’ve got then minoxidil to promote the growth again (all in one tablet)

Great lad! it’s your friends and work colleagues that when pointed out make it worse. Like a guy at my work said it once to often and sorta bit back by saying I’m not shaving my head. I’m a little light in the crown and my hairs fine. Worst thing I’d say is the rain, always got a hat in my pocket these days. I feel better after a cut even though I feel it shows it more it’s less hassle as it’s not getting messy while long. May do a transplant but we will see

The silver lining of balding early, if there is one, is that you appear to age more slowly, since you already look older. The same goes for people who go gray prematurely. For example, Steve Martin has looked the same for the past 50 years.

how we still not have a real treatment or cure for hair loss is beyond me. My hair loss started at around the same time, shaved it all at 22. Sucks really not to have the option of trying all these cool haircuts I see on here

Nice haircut Dan. Using the potential of his current hair desity and giving the best possible look. Also, being supportive, understaning and giving good advice is always great to see. In my humble opinion Angelo could also give regular hair powder a try with his current hair style. A touch of the powder could visually slightly improve hair density and volume (without trying to hide anything), and maybe he could style it a bit. Also works wonders if the hair oils up easily. On the other hand if he changes his mind he could have a talk with a trichologist and maybe try 5 % minoxidil for 6 months and see how it goes. This comes from someone who is currently in his 20's and is dealing with hair loss for 8 years now. Good for him if he isn't bothered by it that much. Stay positive Angelo and as far as hair goes work with what you've got.
