@@barthok433 House does not need to cheat because they have their ways to make income. Its legal businness. However there is professional player cheaters that use all kind of gadgets and cameras to manipulate the games and make huge money.

I think the problem was how he asked in the other casinos if pets are allowed. He should just have said, "Hey my parrot would like to bet huge amounts of money in roulette, can I bring him in?". Every manager would have said yes with dollar signs in his eyes.

The problem with the other casinos at least the ones he showed were they were the more popular/nice ones on the strip. The amount of money any one player wins or loses is really insignificant to casinos that get a lot of action. They'd rather not have a bird potentially make the experience less enjoyable for others. I was honestly surprised they said dogs were allowed on the floor. The downtown casinos would be much more likely just because they get less action than the strip and aren't as busy. They have the open tables and less amount of other people to worry about.

Not if he knows statistics, he would do as good as any other randomly betting person. All strategies are equal in the eyes of the law of large numbers.

I mean, gambling based on a parrot's decisions is certainly not worse than gambling on a human's predictions.

Technically getting 6 in a row, or literally any particular combination of 6 results with the same probability in a row, is the same odds. It would be equally amazing if he won 3 and lost 3, or lost all 6. 50% / 2 = 25% / 2 = 12.5% / 2 = 6.25% / 2 = 3.125% / 2 = 1.5625%

@@RetirededKat I think your math is a bit flawed and it is even more impressive than 1.5%. a win isn't 50% likely, the casios need to make a profit somehow of course. There are three choices black, red and green. the green is what throws the stats off and makes Pablos guesses being 6 times correct in a row look even more impressive since he had worse than 50% odds of guessing right.

Okay but imagine how hard it must have been for the one running the roulette to keep a straight face, I would be dying laughing

The guy in charge who let you in is obviously a true businessman.

I heard Jonathan Jossel (4:24) talking about this on the Plaza podcast. He's a cool guy for allowing this! He's one of the youngest casino managers in Vegas, and THE youngest to ever get a gaming licence in Nevada so he's fully aware of how good the advertising would be for hosting this.

Shout out to that casino for being so welcoming. Vegas is normally super against filming and what not. Next time I go to Vegas I know where I will gamble.

I'm unaware of any method to cheat at roulette, but I'm also not and never will be a gambler after working in clubs with pokie machines all I saw was desperate people throwing cash away like it was poisonous

This just shows that the way you ask a question influences the result. The last casino permitted the parrot most likely because of the way the question was worded, making it much harder to just deny it.

A lot of casinos in Vegas wouldn’t even let him film. The plaza is notorious for letting people film and having influencers. If I had to pick any one property in Vegas for this video to be filmed at I would have definitely said the Plaza.

Great video as always but I especially enjoyed that you were always really careful not to scare Pablo even when winning - other internet personalities might not have been so kind to their feathered gambling partner! I think the anti-parrot rules are to prevent solicitors. Not in an official way but Casino workers in Vegas know people who go around with birds, taking photos with tourists for money and they are in the "don't let them come in randomly to sollicit our customers" category.

If they let any kind of animals in then its just the correct answer to the question. Same as if I asked you if you have any vowels in your name, despite your name not having any Es or Us, your name does have a vowel so the answer is yes. The types of vowels (or animal) is entirely irrelevant to these questions' answers.

@@chickensticks749 pablo won him 2000$ in the begging he was 6 for 6 when he started a losing streak losing 2000$ dollars which put him back at were he started (2500$) when he placed one last bet which won him 1500$, so he ended up with a total profit of 1500$ (total: 4500$).

@@jamespitchforth9928 While this seem correct especially after rewatching that section he said that his winnings were wiped out and that he lost 2k he also said that the table max was 2,500 and as a last ditch effort he bet 2500. Even if he contributed 2000 more he would have had a total of 3000 after deducting the extra 2000. So either he was playing with terrible odds or i believe that there was a mix up in the script. Also i did mean beginning :)

Very well trained bird, to be so calm in that environment :) I bet the trainer focused on the yes and no in the days or weeks leading up to it. Obviously just wanted to go to the trainer for comfort though, haha. Nice job Max with your careful body language around the bird as well.

Max, I had a peculiar dream last night involving a long adventure through semi-wilderness (a laundromat was involved partway through somehow, idk) where the focal character was a blend between being me-in-first-person and sometimes you-who-I-was-watching-in-third-person. All resolved well (you/I made it back to the highway and got a lift the rest of the way from a friend's dad or something), but it was, of course, a very silly journey. I just wanted to say thank you; I really admire the clever resourcefulness you showed in using all parts of the several large jackfruits you/I happened to be carrying as our main supplies. I quite enjoyed the _feeling_ of learning a lot (even though it was all nonsense that doesn't translate to reality lol) from your elegant and articulate demonstration.
