I recently lost my best buddy of 11 years. An Australian Terrier crossed with I don't know what. It is still too hard to discuss but I miss him so very much. This is the first time that I have watched your channel since then. Make the most of every day that you have with him and if his body language changes, pay attention. Sherpie's job is being adorable and bringing world peace. He needs all the rest he can get as it's very, very tiring. Unfortunately, it barely pays enough for chicken balls! Real shame that is.

@@SherpasDay I agree on the spiders and I’m an Aussie who lives in the bush, not afraid to scream in front of others, well I can’t help it when they are as big as your hand. Love my Dog and all the other animals that live on our bush property, I even cope with deadly snakes, I do get a fright, but it’s just the primitive response, also I always worry about my dog at the time, so I have gone into a bit of a frenzy of long handled shovel attacks against the snakes, but just to convince them to go somewhere else on my property and not near our living area, it works but you have to be careful so gum boots come in handy. But I love the parrots from the tiny to Cockatoos, and the Echidnas.

I love how the dogs run to greet their friend's human before greeting each other.

Awe poor little bird, RIP. Sherpa always looks handsome in his rain gear. His little playmate pup is so cute. Looks like the 2 of you had a busy week. Sherpa's back legs look like they're gaining a bit more muscle from hydro.

Anybody who has birds hitting the windows, try a decorative cutout of construction paper on the outside of the window. Anything on the outside of the window so the birds can distinguish that it's a window. They see the reflection coming from the window and can't tell that it's a solid object.

My window cleaner thought that I was rather odd keeping my Christmas stickers on the windows but it stopped the birds from crashing into the glass?

Careful with slugs and snails. They carry lungworm. Dog toys shouldn't really be left out overnight in case they get crawled on. But if Sherpas wormed he should be OK. 🐺🥰

You’re just in time moving out. Normally when a woodpecker takes over a tree, he’s getting the insects out of it, which means the tree is usually dead or dying. Your birds are so pretty. Weeping willows are invasive and dirty with bugs and spiders; and they drop all their tendrils in a storm.

The little duck reminded me of Sherpa looking for you when you hid from him. Sherpa just keeping an eye on you. Lovely video.💜💜💜

You can put window clings( plastic pictures) on the windows, to help birds see that it's a window. They are also removable.

Yay another of Sherpa's raincoats. He wears them well. Sherpa will be happy to have all his raincoats hanging up in his new closet. Hoping for good news soon on your new home.💛

It's pretty cute how Sherpie runs to Larry and Mickey runs to you wagging his little bum. I've use static cling decals to discourage birds from hitting windows. The one that was a farourite was a hawk decal.

How funny is Sherpy's puppy friend! How he wagged his tail! Haha!😄I like the new orange rain jacket that Sherpy wears. Sherpy misses you Jamie that's why he yells when you walk away. Besides, how cute are the little birds that go to eat the food. On the other hand, poor little bird, the one that collided with the window. Jamie, Be careful with weeping willows. If planted too near the house or water/sewer lines, they will many times break the pipes and grow in them, causing a lot of mess and expense to repair.

While magnolia's grow slowly, they produce loads of amazing smelling flowers right away. Willows need loads of water but are one of my favorite trees, magnolia being my favorite.

We are alike ! If there is an awkward way to do something I'll find it!. I've done something similar with a photo frame! I'm the one who spots the baby duck who has got separated from mum and I try calling the baby back towards mum or other way round. I get birds fly into patio door or window . Sadly they often die. You are so gentle with them. Always worth seeing if they come round . I share your love of trees too. 😊

The best trees to buy are apples and pear trees and maybe a Cherry Tree and you can eat the fruit every year.

Jamie I have found that putting decals on large windows that reflect trees is the solution to preventing these tragedies with birds Windows that reflect trees look like a through passage to birds. I'd had a couple of accidents happen but the day a beautiful kookaburra stunned itself I realised something had to be done. (The kooka survived. I put it in a safe place to recover it's wits.) The thing is to help birds see that the way is blocked. I found putting decals on the windows works a treat. Maybe not elegant but I haven't had a bird strike since.❤❤❤

I love that you framed the certificate that comes with the play button, if for no other reason than historical documentation so the play button and certificate can hang together. The play button really does not explain the details of why it was awarded, and I think it's very nice to have the certificate alongside the play button.

If you want to help the birds to realize there's a window there or in your new house when you get one, put some static cling pictures on the glass so they know not to fly there. They dont harm the windows that way.

Weeping willows like lots of water. So they are good for planting in a soggy part of the yard to drink up the water. Mine turned my swamp into a normal yard. They grow fast. Birds love them. However, they are trash trees. They loose leaves all the time and all winter they loose sticks. Lots and lots of tiny sticks. They also have shallow aggressive roots so don’t plant near you foundation. I adore my willow. Flaws and all.❤

Aw, poor birdie. I met a 14yr old female Husky today. She was very timid, loads of school kids around. Owner thinks she is starting to lose her faculties, poor thing. I see Shera & think how lucky you both are. ❤

Oh, the little bird died. That is sad. I am sure you will miss everything for the first few months and all these things will miss you both too.

I was always saving birds when I was young. I even paid money for a Grackle to get vet care.
