Nissan should buy the engine and put it into their museum (firing it up regulary). What an amazing job!
Nissan motor company should sponsor him a complete workshop, and use this as a commercial on their engine`s. impressive work!! :)

I think I am going to go out and find me an old 4 cylinder Nissan Diesel engine now...I just cannot believe my eyes and ears on this one. To come so far from where it started off as and run with no oil or water all while leaking diesel like a siv. I myself have been a mechanic for 20 years...I simply do not have this man's magical talent. 😂

Thank you very much. Most mechanic workshops do not have this experience. Rather, they only replace parts, and most of the time they are not really the cause of the problem. Thank you, great work.

And he did not disappoint. I’m impressed with the techniques in removing rusty bolts. I’ve repaired a water damaged engine before but this takes it to a whole new level. The amount of the old engine you were able to re-use is staggering. Electrolysis is another way of removing rust. Well done.

The hard work was definitely very real, the piston he replaced was unavoidable and with a few more parts to get the oiling system working again it could no doubt be run for long periods but I don't think that was the point, I think the point was to get it to run again and that he did. I thought it was very cool and entertaining to watch, I especially liked the bit with the old bloke making the head gasket.

@San4o0409
