My step dad has passed and selfishly I didn't realize how much I loved him until he was in hospis care. But he would laugh at how funny that joke was. Theo is the best. Keep theo protected at all costs.

What he said about his father being 70 when he was born is true. I think he said on his podcast that he started being funny when he was a kid precisely because of it. Apparently the other kids in his school would make fun of his dad because he was very old, so he started coming up with jokes about that that were better and more clever than the ones the other kids were making. That way instead of being the butt of the joke he became popular. In a more serious note, he has also talked about how that affected him, because he couldn't really have a real relationship with his father due to his age. I think he also said that he feels bad about making fun of his dad when he was younger, even though he did it as a defense mechanism.
