I read somewhere that this was Fami’s first live performance as their bassist, and she certainly seems delighted to be there. Her little mini bass solos are excellent. Yeah, a thesaurus would help with this band!

Great reaction as usual for Lovebites. I'm a very old (71) metal head and I say these young ladies are the best band and the best twin guitars in the history of metal. By their collective and individual technique, their versatility, their creativity and their refreshing humility, especially since the successful integration of Fami on bass. Thank you ladies.

I attended their live concert for the first time last month (September 2023). Amidst dazzling spotlights and swirling laser beams, these five women, dressed like Greek goddesses, delivered this song with an incredible performance. I was seated in the second tier of the concert hall, providing a clear view of all five of them, including Haruna on the drums. However, I found it difficult to decide whom to focus on, and my head was left in a daze. It was as if I was experiencing an event from a dream. The only thing I distinctly remember is muttering 'OMG, OMG, OMG...' with my mouth half open throughout. 😅🤘

I'm not sure but I think I saw Miyako almost smile. I fucken love this band!!

Atlanta, USA 9/6/2024 for ProgPower and a 90 minute set. Hopefully more venues and dates will be added. They are doing several music festivals in Europe this summer as well. I always say that these insanely talented petite women will either inspire you to try harder or just intimidate you to quit LOL!!!! Their 2024 tour hopefully gets them the recognition and increases the Wolfpack (fanbase) to the proper level. Still a crime that they have so few followers when you look at the collected talent. Fami/bass the new member had over 600K followers on YT when she joined the band, LB had just broken 100K at that time????? What is wrong with all those people who claim to be real music lovers???

I watched the premier of this as well as the one for Nameless Warrior. Fami kicking butt on that bass and fitting nicely in the band. Concert this weekend and CD and DVD release on the 23rd. The Metal Queen's.

Fantastic reaction. I just enjoy your happiness. 😀 These ladies were already presenting excellence with their former bassist Miho. Now, with their new bassist Fami, they just seem to "take off": Her contagious bright happy smile and her smiling interactions with the other ladies add to the already incredible stage show. Fami is obviously having the time of her life. She fits in just perfectly. It also seems to me, that the songs of Lovebites are musically more colorful, "deeper", and more refined than before. 🙂

First song of the first set of their first live performance in more than two years. No sign of rust, nothing tentative--they just come out of the gate at full speed.

At full speed, and full of joy. Never saw them smiling so often during a song. Absolutely bright and contagious. Seems that they were able to sort out important issues during their hiatus.

Best metal band in the world, and they got even better! I have this Blu-Ray on preorder. Can't wait for it! I hope they do a wider tour next year. Also yes! More Lovebites reactions please. They're amazing!

how do you think about fami the new basist?

It must make you feel great to see an all female band of beautiful women, that don’t rely on their beauty as a promotional gimmick . Their beauty is a bonus! It’s the cherry on top of the badass band, that already exist. A female band that could stand toe to toe with any metal band, past or present, in the world. As a male former touring guitarist, I say, it’s about damn time! Bands like the iron maidens just aren’t quite there, close, but no cookie! Beyoncé put together a killer female band, but that’s not metal. There are individual great female guitarist, but they don’t have a whole band equal to them. Nemophila has a great band, super talented musicians, but lovebite’s speed and classical elements, in my opinion, puts them a step above. Yep, if I were a woman, These ladies would make me grin ear to ear too. Please react to Nameless Warrior from the same concert.

I remember someone commented on a reaction, maybe a year ago, they said "I wish that Lovebites would stop it with the beauty and modeling shtick, it's getting old". I wanted to respond but I was too busy laughing my a$$ off....I know what your saying about the Iron Maidens, I've seen and met them at least a dozen times. They've had some amazing guitarists go through that band (And now Courtney Cox has become a full-time member of Burning Witches) but they are a tribute band (An amazing one though) and it's hard to place them next to an original band.

In the second half of the eighties, Ice Age from Sweden were (to my knowledge) one of the first two all-female Thrash Metal bands (the other one being Meanstreak from New York) and if you listen to songs like "Instant Justice" (my personal favourite), "Fleet Street" or "In the Name of Science", they were at least as good as many of their male counterparts back then. For different reasons, they never got beyond demo-status at that time and eventually split up. About 25 years later, two of their four original members started the band again, this time with a male drummer, and they eventually released their first album "Breaking the Ice", which also features new versions of some of their older songs, but to be honest, I like the old demo-versions better. Michelle Meldrum (RIP) and Nicole Couch, the two guitarists of the all-female metal band Phantom Blue, who released their debut in 1989, could both shred very well, which shows in some of their solos. While their music was not as soft and mainstream as e.g. Vixen's, I wish they had become heavier and written more complex and longer songs, but maybe also because of the rise of Grunge, they went into a different direction and eventually split up after another two albums. Since then, I had hoped that one day a band like Lovebites would emerge, though I might say that Lovebites have already surpassed what I had hoped for back then!

You summed it up perfectly - "What Can You Say". I've used every superlative known when describing Lovebites.

Fami's live debut on bass. I have yet to see her without a smile on her face. The song is from their 1st album, Awakening From Abyss. The intro piece, The Awakening, had been played as lead in , in concerts past. Yes, please do more from them. Check out Miyako's Chopin piano intro on Swan Song (live at Zepp DiverCity Tokyo 2020).

Haruna's drumming is out of this world as is Fami's bass playing. And the guitar playing is almost unbelievable, you have to see it to believe it. And what more can be said of Asami, well, I cannot think of the adequate words for her brilliance.
