Band history: Yes, they came from different bands, and some of them knew each other, while they were playing in different bands. But it's not that complicated: Former bassist Miho and drummer Haruna founded the band in 2016 AFTER their common former band DESTROSE was dissolved. They wanted to realize their style of music, female pure Heavy Metal. IIRC, they knew guitarist Midori (same clubs), who should play guitar. Guitarist Miyako, who played in a group and a duo at that times, was a guest musician until one year later, when she focused on exclusively playing for LOVEBITES. Singer Asami was found by these other 4, although she had never sung for Heavy Metal before. Her performing "Love Bites (So Do I)" by Halestorm may have influenced the name of the band. The "Miho era" was roughly 2017 - 2021 (there's a best-of album called "In The Beginning"). In August, Miho announced her departure for personal reasons. LOVEBITES went on immediate hiatus, but wanted to continue anyways. So they made a humongous audition in spring and summer of 2020 to find a new bassist, that was able to follow Miho as the band's bassist. In October 2022, Fami was announced as the "5th element". December 2022 the first of two new OMVs, February 2023 a new album "Judgement Day", March 2023 this performance, released as live album, Japan tour in late summer, now it's time to conquer the Heavy Metal world... probably kind of a world tour in 2024, as I wrote, Spain in June and USA in September are fixed...

(Asami) This was the first performance of LOVEBITES after almost 2 years of hiatus (Covid-19 and the departure of their founding bassist for personal reasons), and the very first one with the new line-up with bassist Fami, who was very happy to be there the whole evening, in March 2023. The 2CD/DVD/Blu-ray "Knockin' At Heaven's Gate" of the first evening was released on August 23rd, four of the songs are on LOVEBITES KZread channel (this is your second song in this list), now it's announced, that the second evening will be released on December 20th of this year (as KAHG Part II), with 5 changes in the setlist, special camera perspectives, etc, 8 hours of material. LOVEBITES are one of the most musically talented (arguably THE most musically talented) metal group in the world. They have about 60 original songs in their catalogue, none of which are bad, and some of which are legitimate masterpieces. Why this band isn't world famous (yet) is beyond me.

@@TheCyberMantis I completely share your opinion. The Wolfpack is based globally. I read comments in their personal channels time and again from all across the globe to pleeaase come to the respective countries. Wolves from all around the world *beg* them to tour there, or to at least have a leg in one capital city or the other. Therefore my personal opinion is, that _Lovebites_ do not avoid to tour globally because they are afraid of the costs, but because _their management_ keeps them in Japan, for what reasons ever. And I just do not understand that, because Lovebites can communicate in English, and they already reached world class level long time ago. But what do I know.

@@jawosammadennhier7062 Japanese are risk-averse. Which creates a catch-22. They want to see big numbers before they venture out. But you won't get the big numbers until you venture out. Touring the world is way more difficult than most people think. I'm sure Victor-E wants a guaranteed "return on investment". Will they take a "leap of faith"? We will just have to wait and see.
