Rick: HVAC Supervisor: There are many configurations for an "Appolo" heating system.
Rick: HVAC Supervisor: I assume you have a water heater that provides hot water for a heating coil in the air handler.
Rick: HVAC Supervisor: If so these systems usually also have an AC coil in the same air handler.
Rick: HVAC Supervisor: Is that what you have?
JustAnswer Customer from Fort Lauderdale, FL: I have two valves that have handles on them.
JustAnswer Customer from Fort Lauderdale, FL: My understanding is that with the handles going up and down, that allows the heat to run through.
JustAnswer Customer from Fort Lauderdale, FL: So if I turn the hadles 90 degrees then the air conditioning should work.
Rick: HVAC Supervisor: Yes if you turn off the valve(s) from the water heater to the coil that will stop hot water from circulating to the coil and your AC coil won't have to fight the heat coil to cool your home.
Rick: HVAC Supervisor: I assume you have ball valves (lever handle) and yes when the handle is perpendicular to the pipe the valve is off.
JustAnswer Customer from Fort Lauderdale, FL: Okay that's what I thought.
JustAnswer Customer from Fort Lauderdale, FL: Thanks
Rick: HVAC Supervisor: You're welcome
