I told him , he doesn’t feel the same .he still open to being friends Now we are navigating being friends , still in the awkward period . Maybe in another month it will be less awkward . Here’s hoping!

this gave me the confidence to tell him how I feel and i’m glad I did. We aren’t together and he didn’t say he liked me as well but he did tell me that he cherishes our friendship and doesn’t want to mess it up because he can’t handle a relationship right now. We were able to have a mature conversation about how we were feeling and that all I could ask for really.

Me and my casual friend have known each other mutually through our friend group for over a year and we just started hanging out (just us) for about 3 months now. I really really like her, we’ve gone to the movies, exchanged Christmas gifts to each other, we talk almost every day, we go in driving adventures randomly, she goes out of her way to do things for me when I need help or just cause she wanted too. I feel like she reciprocates similar feelings, but I truly don’t wanna mistake her kindness as being interested. I just can’t muster up the courage to say anything cause what we have now is so amazing. She actually makes me feel appreciated, and wanted unlike anyone else I know.

Videos like this are very encouraging. I'm in love with my best friend. We've been in an online D&D group together for about nine months, and have been close friends for five of those after meeting in person. Our friendship has moved very fast in such a short time, we pretty much skipped the awkward early friendship stage and skipped right to best friends. And I've pretty much liked him since the very beginning. I'm fairly certain he won't feel the same way as I do, and I'm trying not to get my hopes up. I was planning on telling him today, but I couldn't bring myself to do it. But I'm trying to work up the courage to go through with it the next time that I see him. It's scary and I'm of course scared of losing him, but I know deep down that if he's really my best friend then our friendship will survive. And I know it'll feel good to not have all these feelings pent up anymore.

My best friend met her boyfriend in a DND group, they were awesome friends and she was scared but she asked him anyway, he immediately said yes an they are happily dating right now, going on two years. Go for it!

Omg thank you so much you're literally so underrated. I feel kind of bad because before I had this friend called maki. I liked her a lot so I told her how I felt. Even to this day I have no idea what I wanted from her, like I wanted her to like me back but I didn't want a serious relationship? Idk, I was immature and it was confusing. Anyways, she friend zoned me, and I feel like I was so focused on myself that I completely ignored how difficult it is for her to do something like that. I feel like I was selfish and inconsiderate, which of course makes me feel terrible, because I want to try to be considerate to other people's feelings and it hurts me to hurt other people. I'm sorry I'm getting kind of off topic. The thing is, you were right, there was an awkward period, and now we're friends. I never moved on from her tho, but of course I didn't make any moves either since she already friend zoned me. I feel bad that I didn't even try to move on from her, because now I like this other person called riley and there's still a part of me that likes maki, and I don't want to confess to riley until I'm over maki because she might like me back (although I think it's nearly impossible) but there's still a part of me that likes maki. I hope that wasn't confusing to understand. Anyways, I would really appreciate it if you could make a video explaining how to move on from someone that doesn't like you back, because it would help me out tons! Thank you so much 💕

Oh yeah trust me, I’ve not handled people’s feelings correctly in the past. Although I really regret it, it helped me figure out how to be more compassionate towards people in the future. You seem to be very self aware, which is very good! Some people spend decades not having sympathy for other people’s feelings. Btw, I do have a video all about how to get over someone who doesn’t like you! It’s called “My crush doesn’t like me back. (3 ways to deal with it)”, I hope it helps you! Good luck 💛 remember that time and distance heals all. There were people in my life that I’d never thought I’d move past but now they are all distant memories.

I always thought of these kinds of possibilities, but in my life, I feel like what always happens is some other possibility. 😂 I’ve confessed to my best friends at the time that I like them twice-first in 2018, then again last year. The first time, I had no clue whether she liked me back. She was nice, but we stopped being friends. I thought we were going to keep being friends, but she never hung out with me again after that. I also lost the rest of my friends in that group a few months later. Last year (2023), I ended up telling a girl that I thought feelings were about to start. She was my best friend in New York, and we were all the other had for a bit. We really helped each other out, and I could tell through her actions that she definitely liked me. But… she told me she didn’t like me. One week and some weird flirts from her later, I asked if she liked me again, but was too scared to say it. She really didn’t like that, so we stopped being as close. Then, she went behind my back and talked to my best friend back home about me, and now I’m not friends with either. I think this one WAS closer to possibility 3, but I also lost my best friend from back home, after I caught him lying about me to her, which just made everything so much harder. I think my life is better without all these people, though. They weren’t on my level of morality. All of them were extremely dishonest with me at times, some of them also tried to be manipulative too. It was hard to get over, but time really does heal all wounds, and I’ve even been on some dates since last year. :)

I'm going to do it this month, before my birthday so I can really just start fresh😊.

Real grateful for this video at the time I needed it. I was feeling everything you said in this video about the tortuous position about my feelings and I finally confessed my feelings to my best friend and she took it really well. She respectfully declined but I’m glad we had a mature conversation about it and still friends. However, I feel like we’re still in that awkward stage after one reveals their feelings and I want to get past that :\ also just a question. Even after revealing my feelings, they’re still just there, you know? Anything I can do there?

I’m going to be 100% honest with you, and it might hurt to hear, but I think it would probably be best for you if you moved on. You owe it to yourself! Every girl I’ve liked but hasn’t liked me back, I don’t talk to them anymore. I’ve had those awkward phases too, and you can keep it cool as best as you can. But it’s probably not going to be the same as it once was. Definitely start looking for other people. Out of the BILLIONS of girls out there, some of them are going to like you more than your friend! Some of them will find you more attractive, and you’ll find them more attractive! I know it may be hard, but you aren’t alone. And time will heal your wounds. :)
