I love how IHYD opens up the gameplay to their patrons. Lynch does a wonderful job of keeping the energy on the show extremely positive.

I wanted to point out that Warstorm Surge targeting Lavinia is an illegal play since she has pro red.

I thought that aswell but its legal. Warstorm surge reads: Whenever a creature enters the battlefield under your control, it deals damage equal to its power to any target. So the creature deals the damage and it was a green rhino.

I’m new to commander, but been in and out of magic since highschool, recently engaged and my fiancé and I have been watching you and we both finally made a couple of commander decks!!! Welcome back to MtG. Commander is epic. It has made me so much more interested in the game. A word of advice, Don't go meta in building your decks, be creative. My most asked deck is a blue white group hug/kinda Kwain, the Irritant Meddler. It helps everyone, but really only helps me.

"we won't do anything to each other..." Raphael then proceeds to immediately exile true conviction with his next action, snipe some angels, and swing at Sky 🤣 wtf kind of deal was that 🤣🤣🤣

After the Brago flicker, everything should have been detained from Lavinia so the lit greaves would be unable to be equipped, preventing 6 damage from combat and 4 damage from warstorm surge.

the commander is CMC 5, so it was not detained. But the greaves could not be used, preventing 4 combat damage. However the populate, surge and the populated attacking rhino still all work.

@@pleravens the commander was played that turn so it wasn't in play to be detained on the Livinia trigger regardless of CMC. Lynch could have blocked too which I don't know why he didn't. To wrest control of the monarch the populated token would have had to attack Lynch, and sky would have taken 4 less damage, however the Warstorm Surge could have targeted Sky's face instead.

Yeah, they also forgot lavinia has protection from red so it couldn't be killed by warstorm surge (and can safely block Ghired/Narset etc. though that wasn't as important)

I feel like if you record every home game, there will be a handful of misplays. That's just the casual game. Every episode of every commander channel has some misplay.

If everything is detained, I believe you can't move equip the greaves as equipping is an activated ability.

Am I the only one who noticed they made a deal, and then it was forgotten immediately, as Rafeal started removing Skylar's angels and attacked him right away...? Or did they break the deal and it got edited out...? Also, Lavinia's ETB detainment was completely forgotten about. At the end of Rafeal's turn, Randy shouldn't have been able to use his Sol Ring, nor on the next turn. Cephalid Facetaker also should not have been able to attack (four cards looked at and/or cast). On Skylar's turn he shouldn't have been able to use his Mana Crypt, but that was a nonfactor overall.

It is pretty strong out of the gates. Hitting for 6 free spells is pretty good. I think the deck needs things like counterspells, Teferi's protection or the blue phasing spells because it's very vulnerable to damage and boardwipes.

I would really like the art used in the card to be the version you are actually playing or close. It would make it easier for new players trying to keep track of a board state

You know, normally I skip the ad but I respect the fact you put a timer and I actually watched the whole thing this time

Phyrexian Metamorph could of copied the narset as it doesn’t target it.

Not entirely sure if Sky had an illegal card in his deck, or if the wrong image was used Around the 16 min mark, he plays (according to the image on screen) a UB Talisman. So either the art prompt was wrong and it was one of the Jeskai colored ones, or Sky was playing with an illegal deck (technically, didn't change the outcome but still note worthy)

Correct. because it specifically can tap for black mana. Since Black isn't a part Narset's Commander's colors, it would be an illegal addition in the deck.

There was a misplay around 46 min when Brago triggered and flickered Lavina of the Tenth. The next turn the lightning greaves should not have been able to be put on the rhino. Then also warstorm surge couldn't deal the damage to kill Lavinaia because of pro red.

10:45 Rapheal should have drawn a card from Garruk when the third beast token come in. If he did I missed it.

I love my Narset Vehicles deck. When WotC came out with NEO, she got a nice couple of upgrades. I love the deck because I love cheating out vehicles and crewing vehicles with other vehicles and because it's a beat face deck with no infinite combos/attacks/turns.

at 21:49 skylar has double strike. He should gain 10 life instead of 5 😅 actually I think everytime he attacks he only gain life as the creature doesnt have double strike

It was blocked, when a creature doesn’t have trample and the first hit of double strike kills the creature the second hit does not hit anything therefore no life is gained. Kind of a confusing rule

I know this was a year ago, but as a new Narset player i noticed that when Narset had double strike he was supposed to exile the top 8 cards since she attacked twice. This is what I was told, am i correct?

Why was the metamorph not a Narset? Seems better than a ghired but definitely not bad.

Misplay I think. I am guessing they misread Metamorph as having to target, and couldn't become a copy of Narset. Common mistake.

narset requires a specific build to take full advantage, if lynch copied her, theres a good chance the few attacks she would get would only waste cards he wanted to hold onto. although with that top, it would be pretty tempting!

Sen triplets stax control an I'm tryin to b super flavorful an make triplets of the triplets w sakashima an possibly mirage mirror or helm of the host. For win cons was thinking infinite mana combos( basalt monolith an rings of bright heart) an torment of hail fire or approach of the 2nd sun an mass drawing w tefers rhystic study an such...
