David wants to get his first win on IHYD but his threat assessment is so on point that he had to kill the most dangerous player in the table. Too bad it was himself.

This channel would grow into no. 1 mtg gameplay, well past command zone, if they'd put out a weekly game video. That said, great game. Keep it up.

They would have to really step up production quality for it to even be in the running. They don't show the cards large enough, zero animations, etc. They are definitely top 3 among mtg podcasts

@@blaze556922 larger cards, maybe. It doesn't need more production (though they'd be able to afford it with more content); animations and such are overproduced. I don't want a cartoon or a game show, I want to watch people having fun with their friends.

Even if you let Gilded Drake resolve first, the trigger would still have to go on the stack before you could make the shapeshifter to kill it, meaning all that would happen is that you wouldn't have the Gilded Drake.

​@@Reboundarynope. The rules state that if an exchange effect happens and one of the targets no longer can be exchanged then the swap doesnt happen. Either both cards have to swap or none do

Yep. 701.10a A spell or ability may instruct players to exchange something (for example, life totals or control of two permanents) as part of its resolution. When such a spell or ability resolves, if the entire exchange can’t be completed, no part of the exchange occurs. Example: If a spell attempts to exchange control of two target creatures but one of those creatures is destroyed before the spell resolves, the spell does nothing to the other creature.

City of Brass does always the damage because the damage is dealt when the land is tapped

I have a bruenor deck that’s double strike tribal since he gives +2/0. It goes crazy, you can smack people for like 24 on turn 4 pretty easily

As someone who plays casual with friends and aims to play Level 7 decks, we consider certain cards like the pure duel lands (plateau, tropical island) and the swords of X & Y to be too powerful for our playgroup, so Lynch is right about most decks thinking they're a 7 are actually an 8

Except when you can tap your lands before it resolves.

Gilded drake creates an ability that targets so its not a spell so terror of the peaks doesn't trigger... Mike could have created the creature after the ability had triggered to kill the gilded drake to prevent losing the terror of the peaks

I get David's play he wasn't as in the game as everyone else and Boros is a color where it's easy to see when scooping is a better play than taking your next turn.Lets start the next one .Respect.

My only rule 0 is I have to go first and no crying when I throacle you turn 1.

29:43 Oops. If Lynch decided to send the Vastwood Nexus triggers from his own Terror of the Peaks at the Gilded Drake with the ability on the stack then there would have been no gilded drake to exchange control with his Terror of the Peaks and Lynch would have won game.

Gilded drake's targeted exchange is an ability, not a spell. Terror of the Peaks doesn't require the 3 life for abilities. Also coulda just sent the 4 dmg at the drake to fizzle the exchange.

David's sol ring should left with him. It is ancient tomb all over again!

Could've shot the gilded drake in response to its etb and not lost the second terror. Also could've tapped city of brass for black and not taken damage since Urborg makes it a swamp. GOSH LYNCH!
