Both of you add so much JOY to the game.... well almost as much as Pia !! At any rate, the ability to communicate that joy is a special talent, in many ways as deep - or perhaps even more valuable - than the pure talent of the grandmasters we all admire.
Love both of them individually. Love both together. The crossovers on youtube just never stop being entertaining.

They should these things clockless and just make moves naturally. So not taking ages to plan everything out, but that would make more entertaining battles in these skirmishes. I get that a clock is important in matches but when playing your friends or family just dont clock

Anna, your openings and early transition to the mid game looks really really great, but you always end up getting distracted towards the end game. haha! hope you can work it out together with your excitement and enthusiastic nature.

IM Levy plays a -6 move for black that pins the queen to their king, and allows him to clear house on Anna's pieces. "I don't know if this is any good".

It may be much harder to play good chess while talking, but I love these social games when two people who love chess talk it out while playing. Anna, I need help. I have been playing chess since 2017. I have been attending the chess club since October 2022. Before my attendance, I wasn't playing very good chess, so I feel that I've wasted my time. I went from 650 up to 840. Since then I dropped to 550 over a month. Im not sure what I am doing wrong. I am following the basic fundamentals like castling, trying to take the 4 middle squares, dispersing my pieces on the board and leaving the queen until later on in the game. Watch YT vids, I usually talk to myself aloud when I want to play super solidly because then I can hear if my plans are bullshit or not. Look for what your oponent wants to do and either play to stop your oponent or play safely around their plan creating counterplay. Analyse your games and try to remember patterns so that you can see what went wrong and remember it for future matches. This is some tips from a scrub but still might help
