Crazy to me how it doesn’t have an oil pressure gauge. That should be there regardless of trim level

Gotta be honest, I am not a fan of a lowered truck but I am a fan of this truck. I think it looks awesome.

I had the same issue with the exhaust 2 years ago when I did my truck and just welded it on lol. I cammed the truck a month ago and finally got the correct connector and fixed it😂

Well I can tell you now I have 2017 gmc sierra 6.2 I've tried the 40 series single in dual out was too quiet so then i went with long tube 1 7/8 headers no cats x pipe straight 3 inch pipe to 2 super 10s with 8 inch tips and to me sounds good idle but on gas is very raspy. I'm actually still testing exhaust components this is my 5th set up already tried long tube headers straight to just x pipe too loud and raspy just like you just mentioned in this video. Straight piped also I almost gave 2 different places elderly people heart attacks lol. So im still searching for that loud deep bassy sound I've had with other vehicles these newer lt engine trucks just seem to be a little difficult to pin point the right sound im looking for. As always brother keep posting those videos cause it's always good content 👍

I think it sounds good. I am a Flowmaster fan. I have a Super 40 muffler on my GMT900 Silverado 1500. It has a single 3" exhaust with a 4" tip. If you have a genuine Flowmaster muffler on Shorty, too would have the part number embossed on one end and Flowmaster stamped in the case.

I love flowmaster. I've got a Flowmaster 40 on my 2002 Ford F-150 Kingranch 5.4. About to put a super 10 in its place

I’m a big fan of the carven r muffler sounds great I think it would be a good idea to do single straight pipe to the muffler and do like a dual exhaust tip out and dump to the side right before the tire

Black widow mufflers sound awesome two race venoms would be bad ass

I’ve always been a huge fan of Flowmaster especially the 40 series which is what your truck has. No other muffler gives that legendary hollow note.

I love the truck, I had a 2009 gmc sierra single cabe short bed with the same gauge cluster and I swapped in the gauge cluster with 6 gauges so it added a oil pressure gauge and a volt gauge. Direct swap plug and play and both worked. I think you should add that and the 4 driver information buttons on the left side, that lets you see your fuel mileage and alll the stuff like that and it all works becuase the plugs are already in the dash.

Did you have to change the odometer readings on the new cluster to your truck? Or do they change once you plug it in?

I didn't care for Flowmaster either but after running Dynomax Race Bullets (which are frikin awesome but too loud) and another setup I had - my 3rd and final setup is 2 Flowmaster FlowFX on my 2021 Durango RT, Tow N Go - which has the SRT exhaust system. Sounds great actually! 🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁

Flow fxs are neat for that hollowed out sound. You should try a black widow race venom

Ive got a 2013 Silverado with the 6.2. TSP long tubes, true dualed with a xpipe with 2 corsa pro series mufflers dumped right before the rear axle. I love it. ZERO DRONE. The muffler is designed to eliminate drone. Theyre exspensive but worth it

Sounds pretty good! but I prefer louder!

Flowmaster isn’t my favorite but I’m running dual 3” FlowFX with an x pipe and long tubes and I get compliments all the time. It’s not a chambered muffler like most Flowmasters. It’s similar to a Magnaflow.

My only complaint with the FlowFX is that they can be a little too quiet. I have them on my LS swapped square and at idle can’t hear the damn thing.

try out Black widow mufflers they sound amazing with no drone atleast to my ears, my old exhaust i could hear over my subwoofers

I have a 08 gmc sierra and I am planing on doing the speed engineering long tube headers but idk what muffler I have a flow master super 10 now and do plan on getting a cam too

Flowmaster is 10x better than those true duals you usually run. That’s just me though. To each their own!!

I've been a flowmaster fan I always ran the original 40s lately I've been on thier super 10 series people say they don't flow.... these engines aren't 500hp or a big block yes the magnaflows flow maybe 1 hp better but I don't care for the sound of magnaflows your not gon a see a difference in "flow" with a non turbo, or supercharged 5.3 .. I would do the tips too the side for more sound and maybe do a single 3in too 2.5 out flowmaster original 40 or super 10 pipes with 4 inch tips too the sides

What can you going with? My 2010 just rolled 250k with AMF deleted by tune at 140k. Lifters are getting loud. I believe I’ll be going stage 3 Texas speed.

If you go with a stage 3 cam you’ll probably need a torque converter also.

Ever thought about flowmaster super 10s? They are better sounding and a lot more volume.

Try the speed engineering cat back exhaust

Its a flow master super 44 that you have on there. They are not as loud as original series 40

The sad part is that you’ve become so deaf over the years from the insanely loud exhaust on your other trucks that you actually think a Flowmaster is quiet.

That’s probably a flow master super 40. Plain Jane muffler. The flow master super 10 however is a lot better compared to the rest of the flow master line up. Mainly bc it’s the smallest muffler they offer.

Your muffler is probably a flow master super 40, I had a midas raven series, sounded just like a flow master 40, was horrible sounding, was loud but not obnoxiously loud, nothing beats straight pipes but some states have strict laws on straight pipes, thankfully the state I live in doesn't have strict laws, as long as you don't rev up and drive crazy cops don't mess with ya, sadly if your truck is squatted, cops will pull you over, issue a fix it ticket, after two times law enforcement will impound your truck, I think the legal limit in the state I live in is that the front on the vehicle can only be 3 to 4 in higher than the rear
