It shows perfectly that people truly belive that there is a huge amount, as long as media is spread it in way too big and negative ways. Trans is not a danger to anyone. As much as gay or whatever people fear for no reason. Thats just straight up using small groups as a scapegoat for complicated problems.

That's because they're constantly being misled. As trust in major media platforms declines, we'll see people's perspectives come closer to reality, but generally it's always going to be skewed because our personal perceptions are skewed by our personal reality. You can know there are roughly 330 million people in the US, and then look at 1.5 million trans people and do quick and dirty division in your head and know that's about .5%, and you can guess that 'trans' is probably pretty inclusive of things like people who just use 'xe/xhe' or identify as dragonkin or something, but not really understand that when your interactions online are filled with people with pronouns in their bio screaming about the trans genocide because you won't let them groom your children. It gives everyone a distorted perspective on reality, because most people are not terminally online.

The subtext (for somewhat educated people) is that Fox tries to construct a problem made by the left that is in fact not a problem. The actual issue here is that they complain about over-representation, while at the same time completely ignoring that this over-representation is the result of discrimination, hate and oppression. They demand a representaion which is equal to % numbers, but when "the left" asks for factual equality they dont wanna hear about it.

I don't think the 20 out of 32 children being lgbtq is a wrong statistic, I don't think the teacher is lying, I think impressionable children are trying to garner attention by being unique, by being what the media portrays as the most courageous, proud, honorable people they can be. This survey is crazy. Do those 1000 people even know how percentages work (or how many states there are in the US)? They estimated that 30% live in NYC, 30% in Texas and 32% in California, meaning only 8% would live in the other 47 states. Another example is religion. They estimated that 27% are Muslim, 30% are Jewish, 33% are atheists and 58% are Christians, making a total of 148%. It's not even close to 100%. I bet if they were asked how many people were Hindus, Buddhists or Shintoists, they would have added another 30 - 40%.

Asmon doesn't seem to understand that the media is an average person's window to the world. In their real life, an average person might have 50 people they interact with on a somewhat regular basis, maybe up to 200 acquaintances. Media shows the world beyond that. If half the issues talked about in the media and people shown are related to black/jewish/LGBT... stuff, it's natural to think they're a large part of society. Meanwhile they're just obnoxiously loud minorities.

Kids do not fully understand their sexuality - that's why we have things like the age of consent. They're going to "identify" as LGBTQIA+ not because they actually, but because _they don't know what they are_ and being LGBTQIA+ is trendy (in large part because of people like Jesse and DeSantis ensuring that nobody forgets that being LGBTQIA+ is "edgy" and "rebellious". I'd be willing to bet around 18 of those 20 students will no longer identify as LGBTQIA+ after graduation. That's the interesting odds. The "odds" Jesse is talking to is like going into a forest and asking what the odds are for finding a tree. Pretty fucking good I'd bet.

The wealth thing is also a testament to how much some people like to look wealthy and how much time other people spend on instagram looking at these totally fake profiles where people rent a lambo to take pics with, photoshop themselves to look like they travel all the time, etc. A lot of people driving low end luxury cars are essentially car poor, living with a couple roommates to afford a $50k car, or maybe they bought it a few years old for $35k cause they depreciate so bad.
