I Hacked A Casio With Just A Tiny Piece Of Tape

Музыка

Finished modifying the Casio CK-10 Radio Keyboard! Making it so I can play the keyboard at the same time as the radio is running. So naturally I try sending the signal from the keyboard to the radio to see what happens! Stuff happens. Updating the sample pack over on magpiestuff.com with a bunch of these sounds yeah :D

Now take all the radios in the house, tune them all to that frequency and have a wall of sound.

I have a suggestion: Make all your gear shelves behind you, angle down, and put some lighting above them all, so you can show them all off, every episode.....and we can see what you have up there, and suggest uses for various pieces you have... Oh, and I'd love to hear your impression of Strongbad, from Homestar Runner. I bet you could do a good one!

I'm interested how it will sound if you make feedback loop with FM and mono out from keyboard.

about 8:40, that is when the COOLEST sound begins. that crazy gritty scape was HUGE maggie! VERY cool. been on the fence to start playing with over air signals like this, now it must happen! keep at it bro thatnks

I loved that feedback static at the end. Now to use this with one of your looper pedals. Live looping of radio voices that are just on the edge of being heard.

Unrelated to the video, I was listening to Toys album on bandcamp and was surprised to find that I can download it for free. Thanks a lot for this! I acknowledge the amount of effort you put into it. I'll buy one of your albums when I can afford it!

A lot of electronics like that give off interesting RF noise with their internal signals, it's just a matter of getting some radio up to it. And not just FM, sometimes you get interesting sounds on AM and shortwave too. Tune around the dial while pressing keys or buttons and you can get interesting pulse or beat signals and even some squawky sounds.

AM radio gets interference from all sorts of electronics these days. Probably wifi routers. Definitly LED lights. Could be fun to experiment with what's near by.
