I Guess The Pan Am Is Sensitive To Fuel Changes?

OK, I think the MPGs are back on track. Now, it's just about avoiding certain fuel brands...

I run Sunoco 93 octane in all of my bikes except my KLR 650 which would probably run on cat piss. I get very good mileage from Sunoco 93 on my PA. 40 to 45 when Im screwing aroundon twisties. 45 to 50 when riding civilized.

I have noticed also that shell gas gives me better mpg but BP gas gives better performance and throttle response, enough that it is noticeable to me anyway 👍

I haven't seen a Shell in years, that may be due to where I live and ride. BP is most common, then Sheetz, Speedway, Fuel Mart, and there are a few indies. As far as throttle response, I can't say I've really noticed much difference. The Sheetz does by far cause a drop in MPGs though, about 5 MPGs lost every time I use it. Fuel Mart only sells 91 here so I don't use it. I just get BP (50+MPGs on Summer gas) or Speedway (48-49 MPGs on Summer gas). I didn't think about this but if you're paying the same price per gallon at all of these places and getting less fuel economy, then you're losing money. You'd never guess it (due to .gov regulation) that fuel from different companies could be so different as it's very standardized, but here we are. Thank you for watching!

@Chase_N yes sir you are absolutely correct and agree with the fuel mileage drop from season to season and also place to place, let's say certain times of years get less traveling so they say it's a winter blend to help with temperature and humidity or condistaion or something and in reality they are just making the fuel burn quicker so you buy more of it doing the exact same travels as you do in your daily life to make up some of the loss they are seeing from less people buying fuel due to the decline in travel during certain times of the year in certain areas 🤔 also different brands of fuel have different additive packages for price to the station offered as well , we get fuel delivery on site for our company trucks at work and I know for certain we can get atleast 2 if not 3 different blends of 87-89-91 octane fuel fuels, due to additive packages, white oil company here in town delivers fuel to shell - marathon - mom and pop - speedway and most actual commercial plants in the area , so I believe it is difference in price we pay as a company for 2 or 3 different 87 octane fuel available for us to purchase, that being said is what always made me think that smaller chain stations use the cheapest they can purchase for maximum profit of any said octane at the pump 😕

Probably why it has dual plugs in each cylinder, it needs them to burn everything when you go full twist. Thank you for watching!
