I got my Peterbilt back!! Now to make some money....

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Hey guys here's just a little update on my 2006 Peterbilt 379. Got it back from the shop with a full in-frame rebuild, aaaaand single turbo! I meant to do a "first drive" video of this truck, picking it up from the shop, but my GoPro had a dead battery... Oh well! I'll have more videos coming of this truck so if you like what you see, consider subscribing?? If you don't like what you see, tell me why!

    CAT is the ultimate truck engine. Cummins N14 sounds awesome too but if I were a trucker that drive all around and always on the road I’d want to listen to a high power CAT all day! I drive at a towing recovery company now, I may leave but it’s a job I liked to do since I was a teen so probably not. I’ll love driving and hauling heavy loads and chillin. Sharp truck like you have will do it! 🤘🏼🤘🏼

    Good to hear you talk in this video, additional footage would be good, like having a camera pointing towards you while you talk to your viewers for example. Or mount your camera on the dash pointing out the windscreen is another place instead of on your chest or forehead. When you're in a rest stop and do your walk around take your camera along as well. Alot of KZreadrs do this, show us what you do when you're on the road not just driving. Since you're from Canada, what's the difference in driving in the USA compared to Canada. Australia is alot different compared to the USA, we have road trains rated up to 195,000 kg or 195 tonnes. Single trailers and up to quads.

  • @callthemall

    @callthemall

    A lot of the highways and stuff are similar to the US, most areas outside of Toronto have light traffic which is nice. There is however fewer truck stops, and a lot of the time I’m relying on the OnRoutes along the 401, some of which have like 14 truck parking spots and you’re lucky to find a spot. Weight limits are higher as well. Canada is 63500kg’s (140000lbs) across the country, whereas the standard weight limit in the US is 80000lbs. I was also just working on a truck walk around video, and it should be up in the next few days, cheers!

Over in our eccentric little island off the coast of France, we have weedy little sub 9 ,and 12 litre litre Volvo FM 9,s and 12,s nice wagon, does the job but gutless on hills, .Only in our eccentric little island do we have a three speed main box(transmission) ,you are lucky having five gears in the main box of your Eaton Eighteen , need every gear to handle 100,000lbs uphill, hate to a hill start at that weight.

    Thanks, I use google maps to plan my route, like a map book. Never use the gps navigation part of google maps as it cuts down every little no truck road it can find! My favourite feature is definitely satellite and street view, use that all the time, don’t know how guys got around before it! I do have a Garmin truck routed gps in the truck, but again I never rely on it because it takes some really bad routes sometimes too.
