What sucks is that you know there was a super good level that got completely swept under the rug because no one checked at that time. "*You spend 1 week on a recreation of the 1st world of SMB and it gets 30 downloads and it sucks...*"

The fact that eric won the GD10 Awards without advertising in any way makes me so happy. You would expect an "omg now you can vote for me in...DO IT, NOW!" in so many other competitions. Now, there are the GD Awards 2023 and I really appreciate the fact that he doesn't influence the results with his large reach and thus allows for fair voting. He could do it and it would be okay, but I admire him for not doing it that way. Thank you for that and also thank you for all the great videos I enjoy watching.

The reason why you reach 100% in the middle is because the percentage is based on how long the verifier took to complete the level now cause of the new controls. So if there is like a level select, a loop you need to break out of or a secret path in the level that teleports you right to the end; since this is the recent tab those levels were probably verified with secret paths

The % bar is how long the publisher of the level took to beat the level, but the "length" of the level is how long the level actually is. so if the % bar goes up to 100% and your still playing, you missed a hidden end trigger.

PLEASE play the rated list for the 100 life challenge. I'd be interesting to compare how the challenges you've done compare to one's that've been handpicked for the challenge.

One time I was opening all the map pack levels and disliking each one, then I got IP banned for a few hours 😂

I believe the reason levels hit 100% early is because an End Trigger is placed at the same X position that 100% is reached but the Trigger is set to touch.

I think it more commonly happens on hack verified levels where people haven’t done a full run before uploading, but this isn’t a bad guess

The percentage is based off of the time it took on the verifier's completion attempt. So hacking messes that up.

Since 70 + 30 is 100,people often tend to think that if so,77 + 33 is 100

You should add something to this challenge where if you ever reach the same amount of lives as levels, you get a skip or something!

Watch out if you find a level that doesn’t end when you reach 100%. If there are skippable cutscenes or setting you can choose then that’s fine, but if there aren’t then there are only two possibilities: 1) There is a secret end trigger with touch trigger or spawned by another trigger or object 2) Low detail mode was used and it is shorter. Remember: Level length (In this case XL) is based on how large is the level, for example if someone made a 1 minute vertical level it will say Tiny if the creator messed up the channel order, long if they did it correctly. Percentage however is based on time spent in last completion by the creator.

hi evw, quick explanation on the 100% bug here: so i am not fully certain this is the reason but what ive heard is that the bug happens if theres a touch triggered end trigger before the actual ending, mostly becaıse of secret ways. the reason it happens is because the game thinks the trigger is the end of the level even though its touch triggered and sets the progress bar to reach 100 at the end trigger. hope this helped!

Hey eric, everytime there is a level that goes to 100% early, it means theirs a secret way! That means you should dig around for where to go

I remember I got IP banned when rating the stars of recent levels to get the rate level achievements so I reset the network to get a new ip since it happened twice

When the level reaches 100%, it means the creator beat it by then during the verifying attempt. In other words, a secret way with an end trigger somewhere at the point it reaches 100%

That has also happened to me, was so confused why it happened. Was completing a bunch of platformer levels
