I have either 17 t or 19t pinion I didn't need the shims exo but you should check the diff fluids and your style you need thicker fluid ,imo

One thing you definitely need to do with arrma 6s cars before you even run them is check the diff fluid and shim the diffs if needed. They don't come shimmed well from the factory and sometimes they come with almost no fluid in them. They're usually okay but it's always best to check.

hi mate the spare pistons have different size holes 2-3 and 4 and 4 blank pistons. with the blanks i drill 4 1.5mm holes and perfect with 70 weight shock oil. I'm wanting one of those 👍🤪😜🤣another great video mate

I just got my battery and charger and my Typhon will be here soon :)

I bought a Typhon as a slider from EBay. It is sitting on my work bench waiting for electronics and I've been told to change the diff oil. But no one tells me with what to replace it with. Awesome bash!

I have a new video in the works, I tried the Traxxas 20m but went with a silicone ear plug in the center, best for bashing but not racing. Probably find the stock oil and double it for more fun on a track. For just track racing the stock oils are fine.

@@Houleigan The stock fluid is 7k-10k-7k. I bumped mine up to 30k-100k-30k. It definitely puts the power down but is a lot less forgiving when driving. I'm thinking about going a little lighter but I'm gonna run it where I have it for awhile.

I sure hope you build some huge jumps but with some good down slopes for landings. I've never been a fan of launching to the moon only to go splat on the ground.

LOL Splatting on the ground hurts, I do plan on a much bigger jump and landing area once I get the Exoplex done.

Nice Joe, the Arrma 1/8 lineup is incredible IMO. Have a Kraton EXB 1/8 I don't understand how it keeps going.

I feel the same way about the spectrum ESC. It's a little soft on power at the beginning It almost "ramps in slightly" . Very stable flyer too. Not great for backflips with stock tires but fun rc.

I am eyeing the Talion EXB or Kraton EXB 6s. Considering how well that Typhon holds up to hard bashing like that, I am leaning Talion for a little better handling and mid-air control. Nice vid!

The typhon needs small bumps and long stretches. Kraton and talion rock anything but heat up faster and go a little slower

That controller is fine I have the same one on my karton

Honestly I think the 3S version with the plastic chassis is more durable. Quite a few folks buy the 3S version and put a 6S power system in them.

What I done, castle combo...but, gotta go ALL metal gears. 4S+ on the plastic gears won't run 20min...tried it

Those Tamiya cross hex spanner are taking over the hobby I have plastic one alloy one and the rest are pig iron, so having so many I have made a couple of dog whistles and a few bottle openers, the rest have invaded every orifice of my hobby storage almost prolific as ants who have taken over but are keeping their heads down until they develop a weapon to enslave us.

Recalibrate the esc. It will give you crazy more power. My Mojave was that way

I want one ear plug the diffs put the ride height as high as possible and send it up some huge hills

I urge you to change the diff oil! You will trash your diffs with the factory diff oil there is barely any of it.

Have you actually had that happen? I was weary of that too at first, now 5 years later, still on stock spur and i'm running 100% in a sand pit so small rocks are basically all i drive on.

Yeah the stock punch setting is at 4 if you go all the way up to 9

Oh yah!!! I put the Typhon on a DX5C with some other Arrmas. Rear skid plate/front bumper, that's it. The Typhon is a tank. I'm sure you will prove it!!!

Got the TLR typhon. Slapped a castle monster x in her. absolute beast on 4s and bat out of hell on 6s (with the ESC tuned to 70% max output)

Trust me get chassis braces and then a fan for motor u run the car all day with speed pinion first love my Arrma tough I was mine off with the hose and spray done a little WD 40

Punch setting at 3 im pretty sure from factory turn it up to 5. Also Joe try out some Integy Graphene lipos they are 140c

If you're running 4s, use the speed pinion. It ain't lame then!!

This is a basher than can be raced, the Tekno is a racer that can be bashed, at least thats the way I see it.

Buggy Typhon is not by any means meant to be a basher. Like the suspension, small wheels and tires, dude it's should be obvious. KZreadrs wanna think all RC is basher built, they are not.

I love my 6s Typhon it is a good flyer but not good a back flips haha

Default punch setting is very low. Turn it up.

nxx muscle fan for 30 bucks caant beat em i lost about 30 degrees on average when i installed mine coz when you get in grass those temps will deffo start climbing

Yank up the punch and a bigger pinion, it's a little lame out of the box.

Prediction:The servo will not hold up. 1st thing I've had to replace in every arrma I own. MKS makes a super $100 servo,4 being used with no problems so far.

I would have liked to have actually seen something other than going slow and then blasting over jumps. Please next time can you include more footage of actually driving the car instead of just jumps. Thanks.

It won’t last very long smashing it into the ground like that . Don’t think it’s designed for jumping more for speed . And it’s a heavy car for a 1/8 😎👍🏻🇬🇧

It's much tougher than all the racing buggies. No issues bashing it at the skate parks. Nothing the right shock oil can't fix. It's designed for bashing not speed.

And to think, the TLR Tuned Typhon may be better than this one😱🤔Jesus it gets high up there.
