Omg I cried when you said your favorite is vegan biryani bc it reminded me how my (Mexican immigrant) mom started making vegetarian versions of her food when I became veggie in middle school. Anyway, she passed away and your mom reminded me of her in this. Very sweet family! I agree with Julian, I read Malcolm X’s book last year and everyone should read it!

I actually share a few illustrated recipes every now and then on my Patreon! it's part of my digi download tier (small beans!) but I'm thinking of compiling a few to put a recipe zine together!

I feel like your mom visits just to see Kuni, lol. Like every grandparent she just wants to spoil him while she is there.

Didn't you call it that the kotatsu would come in when its hot out hehe super funny, so happy the envelopes turned out well! I wonder has the brow sugar saver worked?
