I love that you have co ordinated your nail colour with the fabric, you have a lovely sewing space and it's lovely to see your attention to detail, not taking short cuts, this type of care results in a well made professional piece.
I hate fast fashion so much, I’m so happy to see you making things like this and hearing your back story! I wish I could sew, I’ve tried to learn but it doesn’t click in my head 😅
For anyone that doesn't know. On the left side of most sewing mechines is a tiny hook that will cut ur thread when ur done sewing. Just put it in the up turned hook, it kinda just looks like a tiny rectangle bit of plastic sticking out of the side of your sewing mechine. It's got a tiny blade so just pull down and it will cut it.

my machine has a thread cutter too! but i like to pull the fabric away and snip it close to the project so i don’t have a ton off excess threads hanging around :-)

Not all machines have this cutter 😔
sewing on the zipper is one thing, doing the entire seam (!) without a single pin is talent. what an absolute madlass

absolute feral energy
it's so nice to watch you do all the little details on your sewing project. snipping the corners, pressing the seams etc. everything that makes the finished project looks that little bit more polished.
I have sewn quite a few pouches myself and really enjoy it
Boy howdy, do I know that make-do-and-mend childhood. I learned how to sew on a machine my mother won in a contest in college, and I inherited that beast when she passed.
soooo cute. i bought so much thrifted fabric that i don't know what to do with.. now i'm inspired to make some pouches although i haven't sewed a zipper before
Clean as you go sewing... YES! I teach this method. Makes clean up go very fast. Stand up Serger, I use a stable ironing board with Serger machine on the end.. One clean up tip with a Serger, place a used dryer sheet just under the machine in the front. The roughness of the sheet picks up all the small bits of thread & fabric. When finished, dust it off in the bin. Change it when needed. I've also used small strips of used dryer sheet to gather up the lint in & around my sewing machines. Fast & easy clean up! Loved your zipper bags, great colors & love the felted ball pull.
When you said to be careful with a rotary blade, I remember when I messed up a few years ago.. I had a cheap one without a guard on top, *put my index finger directly on the blade* and pressed down hard and used it... I can still feel it just thinking about it. I didn't realize what I was doing until I did it 😭😭
Polyester is plastic like you said and gross but rayon is awesome! It's cellulose fiber which is essentially wood pulp that's made into string!

ooo i didn’t know that!
Just a small tip I use when opening the zipper at the end of the seams while leaving the needle down. Sometimes the pull can be hard to grip and finagle past the foot. I loop an old twist tie from a loaf of bread through the pull and use that to pull the zipper open. Just easier for me to grip.
I need to know where I can get this mushroom vacuum, so hilarious!
So happy to be awake to see a new video of you! I love your style in art and clothes and make-up 😍 Lots of love from Germany 💖
This was such a joy to watch! You put so much time and care into your art. Hopefully I'll be lucky to get one of these pouches; if not, I'm still looking forward to everything else in your shop update!
this was so relaxing to watch! i definitely will be using some of these tips in the future!
I absolutely love how your nails and makeup match your project!
Absolutely a well informed, well spoken video!! You truly know your worth. Congratulations!!
these pouches turned out so beautiful!!!
Yes fiber arts are so cool! I just got into needle felting to reignite my creativity and get into tactile works again. I hope I can snag one of these pouches and a mask during your next shop update!!!
Those pouches are so cute! I have 2 Juki machines that I acquired through a thrift shop/auction. My Juki serger is an older model from the late 80s or 90s but runs perfectly well.
I love the design and colorway of these pouches. Super Cute!
this video is so inspiring and such a pleasure to watch. this is amazing work🤩❤
What an *awesome* video❣️ I love the fact that you show that you *don’t* need a $3,000 machine to make adorable projects. 😁 (& I’d LOVE a table like that! it is sooo practical). I have a bad back & to be able to *stand* & work would be a life-changer. Thanks❣️
Congratulations on your new desk. I hope you really enjoy yourself. ❤️
I’ve had that serger for 10+ years. Love it so much.
I am so happy that I came across your channel!!! Thank you for being so calm and precious!! I'm happy to become a subscriber!
I’ve been sewing ever since I was 16.💗 it’s so much fun, and it’s the only thing in this world that I understand.
I really enjoyed how you explained the steps and showed the sewing in more real time, it’s hard for me to follow some sewing videos when they go through steps so fast, the pouches look AMAZING
Your videos always make me so happy
Oh my gosh, I also found the big cutting mat I use for sewing out on the street in somebody's recycling, that's so funny that people all over are just discarding them!? Love your art & especially loved seeing your process in this video!
This kuni pouch is my fav! It goes everywhere with me 🥰
I have been dreaming of getting one of these tables it's on my list an has been on my list since 2020! 😌 thanks for sharing all your awsome content

I had a real basic Brother machine, two years later I upgraded to a Singer HD for my business. And then this year, I finally got a Juki TL-2010Q. Girl, it is worth it! My next one is actually a Juki Serger too lol! Love your pouches, and cute pom poms!!

Yayya i thought i was late
Holy shitttttttt!!! Dare I say your old KZread name? Lol I won’t but I loved your videos as a kid omg. Good to see you again! 😊
Fabric is never printed on the grain unless you pay bug $$. Squaring your fabric is important before you start cutting. Fold with the selvages together and see if the fold is wrinkled/pulling. Move the selvages right or left till the fold is flat making sure your selvages are even. Hint: tte cut ends rarely meet evenly, that gets cut, thus squaring the fabric. Then roll it up.
Thank you so much for the zipper tip! I’m definitely better at hand sewing than machine sewing but i hope to get better at the machine!

Get an old sheet at the thrift store. Use that to make muslins (samples of what you want to make) and you will gain confidance and experience. We learn best when we make mistakes and figure out how to fix them. A seam ripper is your bestie sonetimes! Keep sewing, you will improve, most importantly have fun.
Yes once you go juki you don’t go back. Juki has an amazing semi-industrial straight stitch machine too that lasts for years and can handle many layers of fabric
Your desk is so cute. Nice sewing machine
omg! when did u move to a new apartment? i remember ur moving vlog from like last year, dont know if you meant that apartment or a whole different one :0 also! aaaa i wish i knew u were in chicago when u were! i wouldve definitely made the effort to attend ur workshop and all 😵 hopefully there are more opportunities here for u again soooon
Love your videos and your hair
Rhadia I love it
You are amazing. Subscribed.
Great information ℹ️ Thank you for sharing ❤
love 💗
Awesomeness
great projects have you tried zipper by the yard its less pricey than a regular zipper it does require a bit of extra effort to attach the zipper foot but a great money saver when you are using tons of zippers
I hope to make this kind of this small business in the future, just a wishful thinking :)

Don't just hope & wish. If you really want something, figure out what you need to do to get there & then make it happen.
Just found your channel ans lov it.
Cute!! The pompoms, the pattern 👄👌But technically you don't need to serge the inside lining, because the raw edges are closed in, in the lining. It is definitely more secure, but that cotton doesn't look like it frayes...
@RadhiaRahman

the gingham fabric actually frays a lot! so i prefer to finish the edge all the way around :-)
That is awesome! Where do you get your fabric done?! 😮
OMGGGG MY HEARTTT 🥺🥺🥺 THE FACT YOU USE UNSCENTED DETERGENTTTTTT IM A SENSITIVE SKIN BABYY AND I BREAK OUT WITH SCENTED STUFFF
I just purchased the same serger but I'm scared to turn it on! lol
Very beautifully done! I’m curious how much you charge for each pouch? Sorry if you mentioned it in the video and I missed it. I sew as well and use a similar technique for fabric and pouches! Love the serger touch too, you are such an inspiration!
I hace a Singer machine my mother bougth in 1970 and it works like a charm!
where did you get the fabric printed?
Where do you get your labels made? I love the pouch! Nice print!
Your tags are so cute! Where did you get them made?
I'd recommend mimi g and coolirpa as well
I need that desk in my life bc when I cut my fabric on the floor my back is such in pain. An I really like your pouches! I also have a channel(Migo Seamwork) I also do a a lot of sewing, an what I like to make is skirts,Lol, I once made a purse, but I definitely have to make a pouch😊✂✂✂BTW I'm loving your aesthetic😍Where do u get your labels from?
Is that serger easy to work with?
Nice projects
So fun. 😀👾
I’ve made the mistake of not opening the zipper too… but you can still unzip it “through” the fabric, no need to seam rip
How much do you sell the bags for??
Does your wool mat ever have problems with condensation from steam and heat? I heard this was a problem idk. I was thinking of getting one but hesitated for that reason
@RadhiaRahman
Жыл бұрын
I heard they can get damp from excess moisture but they dry fairly fast since wool is moisture wicking! I have a wool dish drying mat by the same brand and it dries pretty quickly too! I think it might stain from excess moisture but as long as it dries in between it should be fine :-)
How much do you sell the pouches for ?
Is the Juki serger noisy?
