Great idea! Living in NYC. Everything needs an alarm😅

Very good idea, great deterrent. I had a ring car camera video and motion alarm installed in my vehicle beside the car alarm itself. Picks up motion of any kind and 2 way talk. Really don’t matter where you live. You can never be to safe and secure.

Just moved here on Friday. First thing I did was shop for a newer golf cart. Just purchased a 2019 cart yesterday from Spanish Springs. Will not be here until September. Alarm is a good idea. Thanks.

I have a golf cart but it is a 2001. Electric cart doesn’t like hills. So embarrassing when someone can walk up a hill faster than your cart😂 maybe I should leave the keys in it. Hopefully someone will steal it.🙏 Until September my Jeep will be just fine. Life is good 😊

Pulling it off would activate the alarm, and its very loud, so they would be running down the street with an obnoxious screeching thing in their pocket 😂

Sure have appreciated your videos as I'm currently "dating" The Villages before making a commitment. Renting for a few months and seeing how tolerable the heat is for me. I have some questions regarding the golf cart back up alarm and other topics you've covered. I also have a source for keyless gate sensors you may be interested in reviewing. My landlord installed mine and it is so handy. (I have no vested interest.) Also, as a former hospice social worker I found your recent tribute to Marion very touching. Thank you for sharing. Is golf cart tampering/stealing prevalent in The Villages? How safe is it to leave your golf clubs on the back while you eat at a restaurant?

Not prevalent, but every few months there is 1-2 and thats why it makes the news. Anything one can do to make your less of a target is a good thing!

There are a few stolen every year, can be up to 1 or 2 a month I’ve heard even. Keep in mind there are thousands of golf carts here so if you park out on the fringe or the shopping area or something like that and leave it unattended anybody from out of town can come and steal it so it’s not a big problem but it does happen from time to time.

I would not think you would need hat in the Villages, but likely to help your insurance rates.

Did you buy a new or used golf cart? Gas or electric? BTW, what is the average price of a new or used golf cart?

Not sure if there are problems with stealing golf carts in The Villages! Where I live we don’t use golf carts but we have TONS of Kia’s and Hyundai’s being stolen daily
