The alarm is IP 65 waterproof, rechargeable, and has a 35 pound magnet mount making it very easy to install and remove. All of the guardian alarm remotes are universal so your trailer, cart, catalytic converter, ATV, side by side, can all be alarmed with the same remote. Each vehicle or trailer will be a little different, so you may have to test a few different locations to find the sweet spot for your application. The average battery life is between 3 and 6 months, depending on your use. The alarm also provides an additional tone when a recharge is needed, and remote lights will dim when the 27 A battery needs to be replaced.

Will vibrations from large vehicles or loud cars/motorcycles set it off? I don’t want my neighbors getting mad at me.

Not that I've noticed. However, if the wife doesn't know I've armed it, and she starts up the engine... OH YEAH, it's going to let the neighborhood or parking lot know it. :D
Does it have to be right on the muffler somewhere or next to it Wont it get pretty hot ?

It's best to have it attached to the exhaust system somewhere, to feel any vibrations when armed. The have a large heatsink to protect from the heat. I've had mine on top of my muffler for months, no issues at all. Still working great.
Does the fob make noise as well?

Works great for all kinds of stuff. For added fun, attach it to a friends car.
Installed "Mario's" alarm system. It's crap. Sensors are not waterproof and not worth the time and effort.
