Nikol, you’re my soul sister…every single day I get up and “get fixed” as my mother used to put it. Makeup, hair, clothes, jewelry…even if I’m not stepping foot outside that day. I do it for me…I do it “just in case”…I do it to feel good! And I LOVE getting dressed to travel! It makes it all the more exciting if I feel like I look good! ❤️

Sometimes people say to me, "You look so nice, you must be going somewhere special". I often reply, "No, I get dressed up to take out the garbage." Lol. My dad was from NY originally. When he relocated to CA he worked in the garment district downtown L.A for a ladies coat manufacturer. When I was a teenager we would go to many of the showrooms and his friends would give us discounted new clothes. I fell in love with all of the fabrics, styles and classy pieces. It's a whole different world. I had more coats than I would ever need in California!

I can't understand why anyone would be offended by you being in bra. Firstly they are women and we all have the same body parts. Secondly, you look great in everything. Your outfits are to die for and I am pleased I get to see them.

There's nothing to be jealous of, Nikol doesn't have anything that I don't have. Would you let a woman in your bedroom with your husband in her underwear? Are there no standards anymore?

I had no idea these clothing videos were first time “try ons”. Each one is so exciting, chic, and well put together. The music fits every outfit, as well as your beautiful, honest reaction. Thank goodness there is someone to appreciate and rescue these gorgeous outfits that are true treasures.

I just started watching your videos. I had an event last night a weekend evening. Dinner with friends and watching my friends premier on a cooking show. Normally I would wear jeans an everyday shirt and minimal effort on my makeup and hair. I took your advice and took the time to dress my self with a blazer and heals styled my hair and matched my makeup to outfit. I felt amazing. I’m so sick of dressing down out of fear of standing out! I’m changing how I do fashion. Thank you for you! ❤🎉

Nikol, I know this is 6 months old, but something you said has resonated with me every time I've watched it.. You made the point that "we ARE treated better when we take the time to put ourselves TOGETHER".. So very true, whether I'm going to the market or to my grandchilds school (super important to look good there) Looking "well polished" makes a great difference in how one is regarded.. Thank You for making this point..

I am so inspired by the hunt when I lost my clothes to water damage I found a great bunch of consignment shops and brands they are so more me then what I lost . You are a shining example to us all enjoy your wardrobe to the max!

Oh my heavens! You are my spirit animal. I'm an absolute consignment junkie always looking for the classics -- Valentino, Herrera, Hermes, Cucinelli, Chanel, Ralph Lauren, and the list goes on. Long ago I used to save editorials and promo books sent to me by the major stores. Those Look Books are dog earred, and my mission is to find nearly every piece I used to covet. To date, I've had a lot of success. Sooner or later, they usually show up. You just need a lot of patience. Nearly all of my shopping is consignment -- 95% at least. They don't make clothing like they used to; the fabrics, seaming and styling is overwhelmingly superior. Thank you for doing this video. I would love to see your favorite pieces.

I love vintage jewelry! Always going to consignment shops and estate sales. Found so many high end purses there! I always get up every day, and as my grandmother would say "Put your face on Candice". I never wear sweats or lounge clothes when traveling, whether driving, taking the train or flying! My husband asks me why I am so dressed up! LOL. 🙂

I would love to see your best finds!! And, maybe you could do a video on what designers are best for petites or for plus-size women... Because we are such a range and I have gained at 64 which I am working on losing but, in the meantime, want to look pretty... I love consignment and for me it is the hunt and the "kill", haha, that is exciting!

My wedding dress, many years ago, was from a consignment shop named Delia's Divine Decadance. The shop owner said that every piece that has come in has a story except this one Victorian high collar, lace overlay, ivory dress that I ended up buying for $98. It was a Laura Ashley and practically new. I had also rented my son his suit from there. He was about 16 at the time. So I got him a tux that was long tails, pants with the satin stripe down the side, spats and a top hat! He looked fabulous! He was part of the wedding party and it was a very small wedding but what fun!

I love watching influencers finding vintage but I don’t have the patience for the hunt. I am a 12/14 so that makes it more difficult. I agree it’s an art. I really enjoy you getting dressed on Insta. You are so pulled together and you inspire me to shop my closet. YES to more fashion and vintage finds in this space!

I do like to shop consignment, Nikol! I have found some great items at a fraction of the price. Nothing too crazy though as I'm quite frugal :) I absolutely LOVED your story about finding the red flight attendant dress and your subsequent photoshoot!! I really admire you!! I would definitely enjoy more videos about your consignment escapades!!

Nikol - The shorts you do on You Tube of your vintage finds are epic. They give me so much joy because I am looking at a work of art which starts with you as the beautiful canvas and the fit and the fabrics and designs of the clothing just stimulate the artistic senses. Nikol, having been a flight attendant in the early 70's, I so appreciate your remarks and I too still dress 'up' when traveling. I shop consignment/vintage often - you are a wonderful inspiration. When I find a lovely item (that no one else has) it's so much fun! More importantly I find I can more comfortably dress 'me' - what a confidence booster.

Nikol, I’m with you 100% when it comes to dressing when I fly. Also, my husband and I vacation in Palm Beach every year for a month. I pass the Church Mouse on my way to Worth AVE, but I’ve never gone in…. Well, I certainly will from now on. Thank you for a great video.

I lost 100 lbs and had to buy a whole new wardrobe. I used The American Cancer Society Discovery Store in Akron Ohio to fill my closet. I have found so many beautiful pieces for amazing prices and what a worthy cause! I love estate sales for clothes, jewelry, and accessories because like you said….nobody else is wearing it. I usually find classic pieces and get many positive comments on what I find.

I absolutely ADORE all the vintage clothing you source. They are incredible and fit you like they were made for you. All the advice you gave us about sourcing clothing is fabulous. My aunt and her sister-in-law, Margie, shared an apartment for over 20 years after both lost their husbands. Both lived to be over 100! Like you, Margie would get up every morning and truly “dress” in her best clothes, jewelry and makeup, even up until she passed away. Both ladies truly inspired me in different ways, but Margie inspired me not to schlep around the house, to “dress” for the day even if I have nowhere to go nor anyone to see. It really makes a difference in how you see and feel about yourself, doesn’t it?

I do not do Tik Tok. I love your KZread. My granddaughter has done thrift shopping and vintage since she was a young teen. She is now 31 and really has a unique style. I am 77 and retired and a widow and do not dress much beyond jeans and tees. I love looking at those fashions you are showing. I just bought makeup following your suggestions and want to use it more. I haven't worn much more than eye brow pencil to fill it bare spots.

I love your consignment videos!!! I too am a consignment junkie for a variety of reasons. I love that you can find pieces that are truly original and that you will not see on anyone else. Shoes would be another area I would love to see more videos. Like you, I never leave the house without being put together it is the thing I do for myself. If I feel good about how I look then I feel good overall. I truly love your videos and can’t wait for the next one.

I took your advice and purchased one off the Real Real for half the price. It brings me such joy, the fit is amazing. Every time I wear it I get compliments. I have always loved shopping consignment! Although it is not the bulk of my wardrobe, they are the pieces that I adore & keep for life! A good tailor is money well spent! The pieces that were tailored to fit are the pieces I reach for again & again! Lately I have had no time to visit the stores & hesitate to shop online... However, with some of Nikol's tips I might become brave enough to try! I've also lost weight and I'm looking forward to building a new, classic wardrobe!
