Hey, jsyk: You + are = you're. It's a contraction of two words, think of the apostrophe as a silent a. When you use "your" it's generally used to refer to a person's possession or a thing that they have - think "yours". If you have trouble determining which one to use, the best thing to do is pause and think of which one would sound better; "you _have"_ or "you _are."_ That generally helps! I hope I didn't come off any type of way, I just notice that this is something that a lot of people seem to struggle with, and I just wanted to show some tricks that would help.
