Another cool 50’s home to meet an untimely end. So many cool features like the fireplaces, the room dividers, the nice big sun room with those beautiful ceilings and so many great windows and beautiful light. Backyard so pretty and green with the red maples adding pops of color. Will there too soon be no homes left with backyard havens of peace or will there only be ugly high density housing. I much prefer land surrounding my home than neighbors too close. But I guess there are those who disagree, especially those pocketing the big bucks. Why would they put modern light fixtures up I wonder. Maybe it wasn’t easy to find good vintage fixtures because they were demolished along with so many good vintage homes. So sad. Thanks for sharing Ethan. Please take care, be well and stay safe!!

@andriaduncan50325 ай бұрын
Got news for you, 6'4"/6'5" is VERY VERY tall, so yeah, a low 7' ceiling would seem pretty low. Most commercial homes have 8' ceilings, but since that basement has a drop ceiling, that makes it lower. My husband and I lived in a cabin when we first got together that had a 7' ceiling, but as we're both around 5'6", it wasn't a huge deal. It was fun seeing that plaque that said "Toronto," since I'd already identified the Canadian accent with your "oot" and "aboot" and etc. 🤣 Don't feel bad though, I'm from GA, and most folks like to make fun of my VERY MILD southern accent. 😜 I was a bit surprised at such large windows in a Canadian home; when my husband and I lived in Michigan, all the windows seemed so tiny to me. I suppose that was one of the renovations in this house, putting in those large, energy-efficient windows -- double-paned, maybe.

Thanks Ethan that house is beautiful..
Ethan Happy New year firstly, secondly that house older couple possibly a nonno and nonnas from Europe house because usually they are shorter hence the basement. And also allot of European nonnos like to store stuff to hording, that 2nd bathroom is typical of European nothing flash, i got a wooden seat toilet i replaced the plastic seat as plastic i find cracks because it cheap. Thx for the tour of this , it brings back memories of my Abelluo and Abuellas house
Nice older house❤
Well that was a let down, upstairs that led to the attic... The rest of the house was beautiful, I love the turquoisish (not a word) lol I know, any who, the sunroom was amazing. Thank you Ethan!
Love this place Ethan. Thank you as always. You made me laugh with the "cutting board" confusion. haha
I know some people who don't bother with the mold since the whole bathroom is going to get a gut job anyways. It's sometimes a matter of waiting on contractors, which can take a long time sometimes.
Good Work Ethan 👍❤️😎
Happy New Year Ethan x
My favorite parts of this house were the sun room & basement. I'd just live in THOSE parts of the house...😁
Hi Ethan This is a cool house. That basement was pretty big and a bit creepy. I absolutely love that sunroom. As you said that was definitely added on later. The kitchen could be nice if renovated, new cabinets, gas stove and new dishwasher and so on. It’s too bad it has a date with the wrecking ball. I can’t believe people lived there with mold. EW🤮🤢Nice work Ethan. I would like to take this opportunity to wish you a Happy New Year and May it be filled with lots of videos as only, you, Ethan can give us. Stay safe and stay well. Be good.👍😊🆒. Happy New Year!🥂
Coming from a short person. Those ceilings do look low. You are tall. But my husband is six three and he says everybody is taller than me. Which is pretty much true. So maybe,a short person. Shouldn't judge.
18:12 Carpeted poles were THE 80’s thing!
The kitchen looks more like an late 70's - 80's kitchen. Ethan, you are getting to know your decades of housing architecture. Older people back then liked their wooden toilet seats--they last forever.
That kitchen looks quite up to date to me! Love it! ❤😊
Very cool retro house loved the fireplaces, that sunroom is amazing and the doors in the basement that lead into passageways are a hoot, I enjoyed the video keep up the great work and Happy New year to you and your family!
Nice house Ehaan. Like it. No pool. Boo! Sucks. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Yea $100K to update and put an indoor pool in sunroom? Nice find Ethan, and Happy Healthy New Year?
Beautiful home Happy New Year's
Thanks. Take it easy.
Great house ❤
I have never seen a floorplan like that before. The HVAC seems to be European inspired, installed from above. The storage corridor behind the rec room walls was very unique. A double height hanger rod in the Master makes me curious about the old owners. you are right, they must have freshened up the fireplace when they built the extension.....
Happy New Year's Ethan early.
As I have learned about Carpet, Went I use pay rent for apartments, You got to keep on Vaccum them on a daily basis.
The carpet is gross.
Cutting Board😂😂😂😂😂 That’s ok Ethan I have that problem myself👍🏼
Hi Ethan 😎🏎💨, Hope you had an awesome Christmas 🎄 🎅🏻The house has lots of space and storage, funny how you couldn’t remember the cutting board, hey I get tongue tied to brain fart lol anyway I do like the fireplace and my favorite was the sunroom because it seemed liked the only modern part of the house. The kitchen looked creepy alittle,I would of painted those cabinets all white just to brighten up everything lol. That old little door in the kitchen looks like a spice rack. I liked the glass door knobs those are really old but still nice. I liked the French doors. Anyway I hope you have an awesome time on New Years🎉🥳🎈🎈🎈🎊🎆Happy 2024 to come 😎😁🎉🥳🎈🎈🎈Cant wait to see your next video 😁in 2024🥳
