Watching Kev go through the sheer pain of getting Scammed then getting Scammed again then finally getting it resolved was worth watching the stream altho it was a pain for him it was Entertaining to us and the fact he even still played it despite the games Shortcomings really shows how much Kev Means as a Content Creator I think we can all Learn from this

It's like a "My First Sonic" game. Almost like they started making an actual Sonic game; then halfway through development they checked the shows demographic and decided "We need to make this easier."

That is kinda what happened plus a bunch of other stuff that Sega did that screwed the developers of this game, this game has a sad development history. If you're interested look up Sonic Synergy.

I love how he is slowly losing his mind playing this game I've never laughed so hard 🤣

both a blessing and a curse

You know this game starts strong when the very first cutscene of Sonic being crushed by the advanced physics boulders made me laugh both times that I viewed it.

the sheer pain of hearing the voice lines over and over without making sense is hard... i didn't watch the stream but i can feel the pain

At least Sonic 06 doesn't have pre-recorded voicelines every 6 seconds.

Man the glitches in this game are hilarious. I burst into tears of laughter every time. Also the situation with this game is very bizarre. The game itself is a disaster and yet the TV has positive reviews(it has two seasons). I watched some of it and it is pretty funny. I prefer the 90s sonic shows(awesome childhood memories 😎👍🏼) but the Sonic Boom tv show was good.

'90s Sonic is still the best Sonic, IMO!

The pausing sound is engrained in my soul because the many pause jumps of knuckles is best part of the game.

I want to thank you, for enduring the insanely painful game that is Sonic Boom. Holy shit I'm half way through, and the repeated dialog is already driving me insane, and I'm sure you cut the majority of them out lmao

I was feeling all the pain with you with every second of this video.

"Up is my favorite direction!" - Amy, at least a billion times in Sonic Boom

20:10 - the point where they went beyond "not syncing voicelines with each other" to "not syncing voicelines with the subtitles".

I don't think I've seen Kev lose patience with one of these "Forced myself to play: etc" and primarily because of the dialogue.

Sonic Boom: constant talking Sonic Frontiers: talks only during cutscenes or when it's ABSOLUTELY necessary Yeah, I can't wait for Tuesday...

Sonic Boom Rise of Lyric is one of those games that the story of the development cycle is nore interesting than the final product: The game started development by Big Red Button in early 2010's targeting next gen platforms (PS4, Xbox One and High End PCs). The game was going for the name "Sonic Synergy", with heavy focus on 4 players co-op multiplayer and story. The initial pitch was for this to be a origins story for Sonic and Eggman - something Sega at first wasn't keen on letting a western studio doing, but after some rework they found a middle group. Development was going swell, to the point some advanced prototypes, voice acting and gameplay footage was recorded. In fact there are a ton of gameplay trailers already made for the annouced of Sonic Synergy, however... In 2013 Sega struck a deal with Nintendo to release the next three Sonic exclusively on Wii U. Two of said games became Sonic Lost World, and Sonic & Mario at thw Rio 2016 Olympic Games, both developed by Sega. For the third game Sega had nothing, so they forced BRB to port Sonic Synergy to the Wii U. The problem was Synergy was made using Cry Engine, an engine the Wii U didn't support. They had to get in contact with Crytek to make a special version of Cry Engine to work on the Wii U. During this time Sega also made a deal to make a TV show and toy line based on the Sonic Synergy, and because of this, demanded the overall of the game and name be changed to match the TV Show brand. This is why the Sonic Boom TV Show is considered so good, but the Wii U was awful, BRB had to crunch hard to remake their entire project to fit the new vision in a limited time.

Hey Kev if you ever want an Underated show to watch check out Transformers Cybertron… not only are the human characters actually likable and actively help the Autobots but all of the Autobots and Decpecticons have unique personalities and accents… we even have an Australian Autobot… also Soundwave’s personality is based off of his original concepts which was that of Starscreams… also Soundwave is a DJ and Literally says “He’s trippin because he got Served”

I stumbled across this guy on my recommended the other day and safe to say I am now addicted, this guy is so jokes

You should play Asura’s Wrath, you’ll love it.

You know its funny cause he didnt even discover the glitch with knuckles that trivializes the game because did you know knuckles can fly with how bad the games made. Also hope your sanity comes back eventually you sounded so done at the end there.

At the "The miners dug it up a long time ago" part I thought you paused and it took me a minute to realize why you were confused. Really goes to show how incomprehensible it was to just stop that sentence there.

Bayonetta 2 was also made for Wii U and it looked amazing. This game has sub-Gamecube quality in the cutscenes.

Webcam Kevin would lead to some abilities many would consider.... Unnatural

Sonic boom is the Definition of why Sega is or with how successful frontiers is was holding sonic back While I didn't like boom when it was first revealed the game released shows the incompetence that is Sega with sonic They screwed big red button over I'm so sorry you suffered through sonic boom though

The real problem with this game was that it was originally intended to be a PC game, had to be very quickly ported to the Wii U due to some stupid deal Sega made, then heavily rushed out the door, kinda like Fallout New Vegas on the PS3.
