Hi guys! After 8 months of development, I'm really excited to share the Steam page of my first commercial game! I followed Code Monkey's 10 hours course on youtube to learn better coding practices, and I decided to expand the project into a brand new game, mostly as a learning experience. I'd suggest that once you pick up the final recipe to deliver it, that the ingredient icons disappear so it cleans up the final delivery and customer enjoyment of it.

I think what your game needs is a waiter or some other form of automatic food delivery, maybe robots or "the Thing" from Adams family, as it is it already looks stressful to play and it's probably even worse when actually playing - then again this depends on your target audience. But you did a great transformation from the tutorial.

i was similarly planning on making a coffee shop version of this tutorial; my idea was theming it around working in a starbucks and selling coffee and other fun stuff

Yeah I had this idea as well, at first I wanted to make a bubble tea shop ! I'm still working on the recipes but I think I'll mix normal dishes with some "monster" fun dishes.

First off, congrats on your game! I do have a suggestion, although it might be too late to implement it. Why not lean into the "spooky" aspect full tilt? By which I mean change the recipes to things like Eye of Newt, Witches Brew Soup, or how about Blood type A+ Espresso for the vampire in the corner? You could even change the money to something like knucklebones! 😁

A couple of years ago, inspired by Overcooked and more by DinerBros, I started making similar game and wanted to base gameloop around managing restaurant layout for better preparing and serving efficiently. But I was never close to finish it. You would use money to buy more kitchen elements, to add more recipes, to attract more customers, to buy more elements...
