@@zedabyu Haha, by the time you get to the end of your process, you forget how raw the original was. I know your work is always a big improvement, but as soon as I saw the end result, then flicked back to the start i was like holy sh... yours is a crazy jump up in quality.

Same goes to Hasbro. I have sold off all transformers toys long ago except keeping Tomy Takara Transformers Hybrid Style Convoy figure. That's my favourite masterpiece.

this...is...PERFECT the figure is so identical to the original, the details are so meticulous, too bad the back is not complete but it doesn't matter it literally deserves a 2000 out of 20 really continue like that!😄😄🥰

On doll customizer channels, they sometimes use acetone or nail polish remover with acetone in it, to remove the factory paint. The usage is dependent on the doll's material though, as the acetone could act erosive.

@@zedabyu I use pure Acetone on the faces of my dolls (Monster High, Barbie, etc.) & non-acetone nail polish remover on the bodies since each are usually made of a different plastic. I learned most of what i know about repainting dolls (including lots of tricks) from Poppen Atelier's channel of the same name. She's one of the best & I highly recommend watching some of her tutorials. Love the way your Buzz turned out, he's fantastic!

I was about to say the same. Acetone on the Barbie's head since is a soft, rubber like plastic, and non acetone nail polish remover on the body if is a hard plastic.

@@zedabyu if you'll work with acetone, remember to have good ventilation. The fumes can be dangerous with prolonged exposure.

A huge improvement! I don't know what paints you are using, but they look really transparent to me. Ive used opaque paints that definitely wasn't that transparent. If you do the light colours first, like the grey before you put on the purple, it might save you a headache! :) If you paint the grey over the edge, the purple will cover it up later. Light colors first, then darker.

It's sooo satisfying to watch you make all the corrections

I have no idea why the algorithm brought me here, bu I'm glad it did. I had no idea that I would be so engrossed by watching someone customize a Buzz Lightyear action figure.

That's custom is master piece. The mattel's posing figure is goodly point, but inaccurate. and mr. zedabyu's repaint custom to make buzz lightyear looks perfect lightyears! And i will buy Bandai S.H. Figurarts buzz lightyear next!

Use a primer paint like grey on surface areas, that way you don't have to do so many coats and get better paints like citadel or vallejo. great job tho.

You can take this figure apart! The neck piece is removable. Once you remove the neck piece, if you slide a knife between the bif silver part and the whhite plastic, and slightly bend the plastic, you can remove the big silver piece at the top of the suit. Then you'll have access to the plastic pieces holding the torso together.

What an amazing (and quite shocking) improvement over Mattel's paint job! You cant tell how bad the og is until you have something better to look at. Really wanna do this on my own figure now😬

For the very pigmented colors (bright/deep color, not pastels) they can be very transparent. Yellows are the most horrible. If you prime with gray first it helps cut down on how many coats you put down.
