Great overview sir! And great series & service to all you viewers with your deep dive into the compact tractor world. My 2860M PREMIUM Series MF cost $53,000 dollars at a zero percent interest deal.. the price didn’t change for the zero interest. Feature Items mine has that you didn’t mention are. 1) Air suspension seat, ( this is a big deal to me ). 2) LED light package front and rear on upper lights. 3) full front windshield pull down sun shade. 4) Radio system ( not just speakers ). 5) full rear glass window electric defogger. 6). ALL doors and windows are equipped with shock absorbers. Also, just like you I didn’t like the top suspended push away pedals at first….. that said when I started using the machine and stacking up the hours…. I now prefer them! The are easy to reach and don’t have the resistance that all other hydro pedals seem to have to push. I find that I like the close pedals as I do not have to pick up my foot to switch pedals. I have blown thru 60 trouble free hours to date and most all of these hours are loader work. Good luck in your pick for your NEW CAB tractor…. Of ALL the brands & Models that you have show cased if it were just a money decision it is hands down LS or TYM. With the other big factors to consider like dealer location, dealer size & experience & service reputation, tractor feature package you are actually getting and WANT and color & looks. It gets really blurry. Looking forward to seeing your NEW TRACTOR ASAP!! Again congratulations on and extremely well done and great series!! 👍👍🔥🔥

It's often mentioned that dealership support is an influencing factor in a tractor purchase. When a guy is going to do a free 20 minute overview for your potential customers and you can't be bothered to get out of your seat and get into the parking lot it probably isn't a good look. Thanks for the overview Brock.. too bad they couldn't be bothered to send out a sales rep... I've driven off lots like that and right over to the competition even though I wanted to buy from them.

Here in Ontario,Canada,I priced a New Massey against KIOTI,KUBOTA.The price difference was 2000.00 from the Kubota on the comparible Massey tractor.Although im a KUBOTA owner,I think when it was all said and done,KIOTI was the clear winner when it came to Price, warranty and features for the dollar.

I owned a 15hp diesel 1986 Bolens made by Iseki. I replaced it with a 25hp Massey that is made by Iseki. The only problem I had with the Bolens all these years was the three point arms piston seals wore out. Everything else worked reliably all those years. I ended up giving that Bolens away to a neighbor who is new to tractoring and needed a tractor. Iseki has been around since 1926 and sells agricultural equipment worldwide. If I remember correctly, they’ve been building tractors since the early 60s.

I have had my 2860 for almost 3 years love it. Has done ever thing I have asked it to do. Run a 72" land plane, 12ft bat wing woods brush hog. Seems a little under powered or hydrolic pressure when digging with the front bucket. But think it relates to the soil type more than anything.

I don't believe Massey markets very well to the homesteader size tractors. There website could use some work and clarity on base prices. I do believe it's a solid made tractor now that iseki builds all the drive train/ engine components.

I've had the 1760M for 5 years and 500 hrs... They are great tractors! Super easy to self maintain, fantastic features, and plenty powerful. The 2 knobs by the cruise control are awesome. One allows you to set how aggressively the hydro transmission engages. Super easy to set the engagement to exactly what you want based on what you're doing. I use more aggressive (fast torqy) for loader work and less aggressive for mowing when i want a subtle smooth engagement to avoid damaging the grass... The 1700s shipped with a Shibura engine which has no DPF and no regen all the way up to 60hp. The overhead light you thought may be beacons, is just a red light for non distracting nighttime illumination... Agco has allowed some really awesome big tractor features to trickle down to this class

Great video Brock! I was waiting for this one lol. The button on the dash lets you toggle between pto rpm and wheel speed which is a nice feature on a machine this small to have a digital ground speed indicator. Also for a little more money Massey does offer a premium cab option that brings with it a factory air ride seat, LED cab lighting and sunscreen for front window and heated rear window for ice control. Also next to the loader hookups is your fuel filter in that semi round metal shield, very easy to access and maintain. Not a fan of there location of those hookups when I owned mine but I will say I never had an issue striking them with anything as the front tire pretty much protects objects from striking them going forward. Loving all these videos keep up the good work!

I'm thinking TYM is what you're going to get. A small chance for you getting a LS. If i went with something besides kubota and a dealer was close enough I would definitely be looking at TYM. I don't need all the extra bells and whistles. The extra options i don't need would be something else to break. I also really like the mechanical injector pump. Im not a common rail fan because its more upkeep and cost more to repair. But I wouldn't mind having a buddy seat.

If your getting into sawmilling ect u will like the added beef… coming from a large frame compact utility nhT2310 into a case ih 90C what maxes out a large frame compact will be a walk in the park for a small frame utility.

Having a mid-PTO in a larger tractor sounds odd, but if you are mowing a large park, or other types of grounds the mid-PTO would be great I guess, although I thought someone going after a tractor for that large mowing scale they might want a batwing mower, or larger 3 point finish mower of some sort.

PLUS::: [ case in point] Massey-Ferguson offers a TEN YEAR POWER-TRANE Warrenty for A Extra 500.°°$ at time of Purchase....almost Too good / So they MUST BE This GREAT!

I know that it has bigger tires. I parked it directly next to the LS tractor which has the same tires as the Massey Ferguson. I also parked right next to the bobcat 5558 that has the same tires as the Massey Ferguson. I’ve been checking tire size on all these tractors, and all of them are the same size tires except for the TYM, which are a little bit bigger. The cab on the TYM also sets higher than the Massey. It almost needs two steps to get in the tractor I’m not saying it’s a better Tractor because that’s subjective. The Massey could be better for all I know. But I am telling you it sits higher. The TYM has a six-year warranty on the powertrain.

The price of the new Massey tractors in my area is outrageous. ALMOST as bad as Deere. That’s if you could get someone to call you back. Made the mistake of taking one of mine to the Massey dealer for a hydraulic filter and fluid change because the 3pt was acting up. Got a call after it sitting there for months that they had taken the whole top off the transmission housing because they saw a piece of metal in the sump. Didn’t ask me first. Told me they were $1k into it in labor already and would be another $900 to put it back together plus fluid and a filter and another $1,300 for a new hydraulic pump because mine was bad. I told them to put the parts in a box, and I’d just do it myself. Turned out to be a tooth from the transmission driven pto gear. Someone had pulled the lever the wrong direction while still moving. I adjusted a linkage screw on the hydraulics and the lift worked flawlessly. Removed the transmission drive Pto gear altogether. Never again going to a dealer for repairs unless it’s under warranty.

Looks very crammed and uncomfortable. Not a good tractor at all for that price Massey needs to trash that model and come out with something much better. Not impressed with any of economy or under 100 hp masseys. The Koreans are much better at better price.
