Any dealer that puts their price on the tractor and does not play games is the kind i look for. My time is important also, and have to call and ask, is not something i will do.😂

The e open cab basic tractor capable of lifting in my book is a winner,A lot of people just nheed simple with easier maintentence and less extras to go wrong. LS is coming up in the world.

Ive been to a-lot of tractor dealers. The Tractor yard is hands down the best. Great people and great price. I do wish they had a large “test drive” area. Im sure they will move to a larger location soon.

It's great to see a dealership put the price right on the tractor. I actually had a car dealer, after asking about the price on a car, tell me that I couldn't afford it. I said, "You're right", and I left.

All tractors should have a quick hitch on the back. So much safer to hookup implements.@@RockhillfarmYT

I really appreciate your reviews. Vary enlightening. I'm shopping for a compact tractor in this size range. Your opinions have empowered me to dig and become well informed. Since your enlightenment on John Deer I am really leaning hard towards the JD 3 series. JD is the only tractor I have found that offers 3 Transmission options in this range and I have found that JD is vary competitive price wise in this level of competition competition.

My MT226HEC has been amazing, it does do 2 functions at once with the loader controls. The cab is huge so my 2 and 4 year olds can sit behind me on a blanket in the corner of the cab. The tractor is 3600lbs without ballast so even without the tires filled or ballast weight I have not felt that I have needed any. 33k out the door.

Was waiting to hear you say the LS hood redesign is an aerodynamic upgrade. 😂 Also I agree that fuel filler is not in a great spot if you are filling with the 5 gallon cans.

I have an mt225s and unless the pumps are vastly different I can do 2 loader functions at the same time. It takes a bit of finesse but lifting a load level is possible with practice.

I have what I think is a valid argument on using OE for the 3rd function valve. My dealer installed an aftermarket valve on my TYM T654, which has 10.3GPMs available for implements, and even though it is a true 3rd function valve, and works just as well as any OE valve, I discovered months later that the hose kit that came with it uses 1/4” hoses and fittings. Why is that an issue? Becaus it limited my flow at the 3rd fiction to around 2GPM. That severely limited what attachments I could use up there. If they would have used an OE 3rd function kit this would have never happened. Luckily, in my case, my dealer changed them out for 3/8” hoses and fittings when I reached out to them. There’s no way to guarantee an aftermarket product is exactly spec’d for your tractor like an OE product would be. Even though the valve might be fine, there are other things like hoses and fittings that have to be considered too. If you you are experienced in this you’ll know to confirm all of this when placing your order, but someone who is not experienced would not know this, and might not find out until sometime down the road when it costs them $100s of dollars to remediate. If you go OE from the start, you’ll never have to worry about this. Another example. In Q1 of last year TYM began using a new supplier for the loader mounted valves on the XX15 series tractors. WR Long did not know this, and there were a few changes that affected the way their 3rd function valve worked with the new loader valve, which negatively affected the ability to perform multiple functions simultaneously. Neither WR Long, or TYM dealers knew this, until enough customers had complained to warrant them to start looking into the issue. If there had been an OE 3rd function kit for these loader mounted valves this would have never been an issue. Aftermarket products can be just as good, or even better then OE, but if you are not experienced with where you’re using them there are lots of things that could go wrong. This is why I am more likely to recommend OE over aftermarket, unless there is major benefit to the aftermarket version.

One positive on those LS you may have not considered is the top link mount is bolted on. Lots of deere owners have broken the top link mount on the cast rear ends and you either need a very experienced welder or a rear case replacement to fix.

I purchased 3 weeks ago a 2024 LS MT226E with shuttle shift and backhoe and had rim guard put in the tires. It has been a great machine so far. I already have 38 hours on it and counting. One thing i question is the lifting capacity. When it goes in for the 50 hour service i will be talking with my dealer about it.

The tires measurements are mm, % and inches. So say 275_60_15. Thats 275mm wide. Then 60% of 275mm is the height from rim to edge of tire. And 15 is a 15 inch tall rim. 60% of 275 is 165mm . Which is 6.5 inches. Now multiply x 2 gets you 13 Add that to 15 you get a tire that is 28 inches tall.

Howdy Brock! Ya gotta stop with these tractor videos... every time I think I have figured out what I want to get, you have to muddy the water with another great option! 😁 Seriously though... that 242 is a really sharp tractor for under $35K. Really great that the dealer works with you... says they want your business. Nicely done and thanks for sharing 🤠

Im not into all the bells and whistles personally. I'm the guy that likes simple and the least amount of electronics and computers as possible, this leans me to tym over ls. But there are something that I definitely want a loader that will do 2 functions at the same time is a must of me. It also has to do the 2 functions at a lower rpm to keep movements smooth. That is one thinklg that I can say about my kubota l3830 it definitely does 2 functions at lower rpms and can be done smoothly. I do believe LS and TYM have come a long ways from their earler tractors. They are both doing a lot towards making their place in today's market.

The constant beeping nowadays just drowns itself out. Its a tone that those of us that are hard of hearing cant hear anyway. And not having a smooth loader is a deal breaker, thats half of our use.

The steering mast adjustment is a knob. You pull a knob in and out. A lot of tractor snobbery in these tractor videos.
