I got Kanani at a flea market not to long ago for $5! But had to clean her up and re-string. Also had to buy her a new wig because she had a big bald spot on the back of her head. Enjoy her, she is a treasure!

Her hair is outstanding! If I were you, I wouldn't brush her hair. I'm guessing the curls will naturally loosen over time and it will be interesting to see how they hold up. You did an amazing job with her! And I'm so glad you got the outfit, necklace and sandals. When I bought my Kanani, she had her meet dress, but no necklace or sandals, and I paid $110 for mine. I never could get my Kanani's hair to look as good as you did and mine wasn't nearly as fried when I bought her. You did amazing! Thanks for sharing!!

I never really wanted Kanani before, but yours is so pretty with her shorter, curly hair! Think if I could find one just like yours, I would definately make room for her in my doll family! Aww!! Yes most definitely every time I restore dolls I bond with them a million times more I think that’s why I’ve always preferred second hand dolls ! Her curls are already starting to relax !! I knew they would so I’m glad I didn’t brush it out she looks great 😍I thought about renaming her but I don’t think I could I think I would still end up calling her kanani so I’m keeping her name !😂it reminds me of my childhood and I think it suits her very well thank you so much ❤️

Ahhhh, she's gorgeous! Kanani is one of my favorite American Girl dolls, and I really want to get her in the summer! I felt that ! Sometimes getting too many dolls can disconnect you from your other dolls I do hope you have her someday though !❤️I’m so pleased with how her hair came out I think she’s gorgeous I wouldn’t have her any other way I’m happy to know she’s being well loved now 💞💞

Mine is Blaire my parents couldn’t afford to get her when she was doll of the year and now the only way to get her is online from second hand stores and for like $200 and I can’t afford that but hopefully when I’m older I can get her also I’m so happy you got your dream doll ❤❤❤

Hi ! Have you tried looking for Blair on eBay ? I tend to see her go pretty cheap on there surprisingly usually though she does need a little fixing up as far as her hair but other than that the secondhand dolls I’ve seen of her are in pretty decent shape ! I have kanani now too, and I got it from goodwill, but it was actually in really good condition.

1 tip I have is if you want her hair to feel almost brand new a flat iron works well it does depend on it’s prior condition though.

Hi there ! Your dolls hair can most definitely be washed (: no need to worry about mold or anything like that’s that’s never happened to any of my dollies ! It’s synthetic hair so it’s okay to wash hope this helps 💗

Very well done! You made a perfect restoring and the curls are adorable. Unfortunately I could not follow all your video, because I cannot suffer to see a disassembled A.G. doll: it makes me feel sick, it is stronger than me. I admire your courage to do this kind of work, as I'd never, never and never dare do the same with my ones; for me they are too dear, I have to respect them, almost as they were real persons: it is not easy to explain, but these are my feelings.

Thank you ! And I use to be the exact same way I couldn’t imagine taking apart my dolls to fix them. Just the thought of doing so would terrify me but one day I just decided to give it a try and not overthink it and im glad I did it’s helped me learn a lot about how to care for my dolls especially when their in bad shape. It was very very scary but worth it in the long run for when you find dolls in really bad shape it’s like your there to save them ! But no worries I completely understand where you’re coming from (:
