Oh, she looks so much cuter! I think people don't realize how hard it is to do eyes and wigs. I've done it multiple times myself and it's not easy! Edited videos can sometimes make it look like a breeze! You did a great job! The best advice I can anyone out there whose thinking about giving it a try is- DON'T GIVE UP! Thank you! I’m really happy with how she turned out. I definitely had some good luck with the eye swap, but that doesn’t mean I didn’t struggle🤣 I have the same advice! Don’t give up and BE PATIENT!!! If you rush there’s more room for mistakes. Thanks for the comment Paulette❤️

She’s beautiful! I’ve decided not to glue Dallas Doll Co wigs because they’re so tight they stay on w/o problem. So far so good and I can change them every so often if I feel like it. Dallas Doll Co is definitely my favorite brand. I love the quality and fun styles! Thanks for going thru all of that for our entertainment. Very entertaining esp when your chin gets involved!😊

I debated on gluing it down but i didn’t want the hassle of it accidentally falling off. And I know I won’t want to change her hair and even if I do tacky glue it’s super sticky so it will be easy to remove. I do really love the quality of Dallas Doll Co wigs!

Wow, you did a great job! I am too terrified to ever try to customize a doll (plus I have incredibly weak hands, so I think I just physically couldn't do it) but I'm so impressed by folks who just dive in and do it. She turned out great!

Alex looks amazing! Great video :) The hard part is definitely getting those eyes back in. I've inadvertently scratched eyelids before - whoops! I'm with you on those line eyebrows. I ended up selling most of my line brow girls except for Julie and Addy because they bug me so much.

The line eyebrow only bother me on specific dolls and I have no clue why. I think they look fine on the dolls I have as I stated, but there are particular dolls that they just do not look good on😭🤣

She is lovely. Just remember that over time we all change our appearance in various ways.

She looks amazing!! You were so brave to do that eye swap AND a new wig. I've done one wig, but I've never done an eye swap and I have no desire to do so. Scares the crap out of me. Please post a picture of her on AGIG (a regular post, not on your story - I never look at stories because I'm 51 years old and they go too fast for me and stress me out). I would love to see her freckles up close. Looks like you did a gorgeous job! I love freckles. :)

You did a great job, she looks adorable! I've never done an eye swap before, glad it went well! ❤ I've been getting authentic doll wigs on ebay, they were super inexpensive (3 wigs for $20: Joss, Nellie, and Chrissa wigs). But it is nicer to buy from small businesses, I agree.

I have such a hard time finding authentic wigs on eBay! You’ll have to let me know if there are certain people that just sell a lot of them. If my dolls need new wigs and i want to keep them authentic, which I don’t plan on “customizing” any of my other dolls, I’d definitely be interested!

You did so good! She looks amazing! I haven't rewigged an ag doll yet, but I do have liv dolls and I put their wigs on front to back too. Its so much easier than the way they say to, So I might just use the same method for whenever I find replacement wigs for some of my ag rescues.

I’m glad I’m not the only one that goes against the grain when it comes to rewigging. Front to back just makes more sense and is wayyy easier!

I feel this way with my #55 I got back into dolls last month and just dont connect like I used to and I think its her hair

om- she looks a lot better to be honest! I always wanted to do a eye swap but never really found the time/courage lol

I’ll be honest it really isn’t that bad once you do it once. Yes, it’s still scary but at least you’ve done it once before so you know you can do it again. I love how Alex looks now. I’m so happy with her!

A tip I have learned from lots 2 see is putting the wig on first and then gluing it down after. That way you already have it positioned where you want the wig to go. And she uses gel super glue. I haven't personally tried it out but it seems to help her out

She looks good! I love 23, but my favorite part is her flippy waves in her wig. Yours looked a little odd with the super straight hair. It’s interesting that you don’t mind Emily’s lined brows, but don’t like 23’s as I find them to be really similar. I don’t love the lined brows and wish my 23 didn’t ave them, but I love her too much to change her. I always put glue on the wig rather than on the head. It’s easier that way. I’m too scared to do an eye swap - I leave that to my more experienced friends!

I liked her flippy hair as a kid but grew less fond of it as I got older. Her wig is definitely not made to be straight. It was very oddly uneven because of the flippy ends. But I’m really happy with how she looks now! I’m so glad I did the customization :)

Alex looks amazing! i sometimes have the same problem with connecting with my jly 23 i feel like if she wasn’t my first doll i would probably do something similar lol

Thank you! I feel your struggle. My first doll mia desperately needs a new wig, but I’m not going to send her to the doll hospital because she has her dolly brain in there. I want to just find her original wig on eBay and do it myself but it’s so scary to do ANYTHING to your childhood doll

I have used a few of Dallas doll co’s wigs and I love them but yes they are too heavy… so I always have to tighten the dolls limbs haha. I think Alex looks great! I love her new look. You did a great job!

i accidentally took the eyebrows off of one of my dolls as a kid 😂😂 i currently just have the eyebrows drawn on with washable marker bc i’m afraid of ruining her if i paint it on badly.

I would suggest mixing water and baking soda to clean them! That’s how I clean all my dolls vinyl
