Oh yeah, not only do cars simply pass through each other quite often they generally ignore pedestrians. All the cross walks without a stop light generally have cars drive straight through people crossing the street.

Something definitely doesn't work very well when even the disaster response building is on fire haha. 10:18 that road lol, I guess the amusement park at around 5:40 definitely inspired you hehe. On 15:00 you changed the highway roads, but now there is no 2-way. It was a 2-lane 2-way and you made a 2-lane 1-way. So they cant reach the destination...

Those vanila stop signs are so often causing trouble which was at first a bit hard to figure out. But I pretty quickly learned to detect them from traffic behaviour.

I finally have a day off! Can't wait to play cities tonight and use some of these techniques to help my traffic.

@@BiffaPlaysCitiesSkylines you absolutly can you'll need a mod (network extensions 2) use the pedestrian paths in the park. that is how i put my meteor memorial in my main park, be aware it will gather garbage and needs police attention, i used block services as a small cheat. i use a 30+ mods and 300+ assets so, know this when you wanna take a look. i renamed the workshop title to "Thunder Tea"

Hi, thanks. I subbed a few weeks ago. I bought this when it released on PS4 and have loved every minute of it. That is until recently. I cannot unlock the Eiffel tower to complete the game. I've tried on every map and the city just gridlocks or I run out of space. This has been going on for such a long time now. I even started a normal play through and I'm back to consistent, 85%+ traffic flow. I'm being absolutely sincere when I say this but I watched a lot of content from Sam Bur and Imperial Jedi when the game released, yet learnt nothing. Barnsley Borough Council have perfectly illustrated to me how to discourage road use, lol. The Eiffel tower Is driving me round the twist though. I've read no end of forum posts too about it. I'm gonna keep watching, the super high density cities might reveal something.

@ 14:37 You were too quick to resort to a roundabout. What the intersection really needed was just some realigning so that the heavy turning traffic didn't have to turn at such an acute angle. Same thing @ 21:39, the roundabout is pure silliness and force of habit. Just realign the junction so heavy turning traffic doesn't have to make an acute angle turn. Remember, every roundabout added is an additional chance to bork up your traffic with one or more misapplied stop signs and stop lights and yield signs. @ 15:57 Oops! Both of the slip lanes you added now allow right-to-left flowing traffic to cross over the left-to-right traffic lane and enter the industrial area.

Not to sound like a complete novice, but how do you get to the toggle signs part? I find the menu, but it always changes the road instead. Can you put the keyboard shortcuts. Its driving me nuts not to be able to change it. Great videos!

Are you using the traffic manager president edition mod? If not try that

@12:30 just another way in and out but they were both one way roads in

First comment on the Industry at the start showed a major flaw. The designer had a one way traffic loop by the terminal, but the outlet was back down the one way system into the incoming traffic. The station traffic should have been directed out and away from the incoming traffic. Remember that the cargo hub is also receiving good for the rest of your city, so you want a line out from the industry. If you build something like below you turn your industry into a big roundabout. Trucks from other parts of the city and returning garbage trucks come in and either do the garbage loop, or loop through the industry to the station. At the end of each rung, you have a road out and a road to the station. Goods for your city to consume exit, while goods to export loop down. OUT IN ||........||---------{GARBAGE}-------------------------------> OUT ->>> || ||--->-- ||----------------------------------------------------------->---------|| ->> || ||---->- ||----------------------------------------------------------->---------|| ->> || ||---->- ||----------------------------------------------------------->---------|| ->> || ||--------

So I'm curious about how to keep industry running in vanilla/no DLC? It seems to fill up for a while and then suddenly empty and eventually they all turn to ruins. Eventually it fills up but it just repeats the cycle. Anyone have tips/hints?

Today my city had a really bad death wave and it killed almost half of my population, killed my industry, made my income -$100,000 (I have unlimited money fortunately), and now almost all of my buildings are abandoned! Can I ask for a bit assistance in the round~abouts?. I set them up with the mod, and it's all good, checked several times that the cars inside have preference. NO MATTER WHAT, they keep "stopping" before the intersections. =/... any idea what I did wrong?.

Use TMPE (mod it self) and click Junction Restrictions and click on junction and allow cars to pass

How would you like a challenge? Here is my most recent city (steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1724735063) Id like for you to attempt to fix my public transit, i feel it just isn't operating as efficiently as it could be. Trains and Metro specifically would be the ones i feel have issues, the others i just haven't added enough of. There's a catch though, id prefer the save to stay unmodded. Assets are fine, as i already have a few. Feel free to change any traffic things you'd like as well, though id say its running moderately efficiently for the city size and my no mod limitation. Thanks for considering it! PS, if you do attempt this, i apologize in advance.
