100% true. I ran out of cigarettes and did not smoke for 10+ hours and i felt like a teenager again. So full of energy, no dizziness, no heavy feeling etc. It is amazing what we can do to our bodies and not realize how dangerous it really is. Thank you for a very informative video.

Go get Allen Carr's DVD "Easyway to Stop Smoking" - when you understand the nature of your addiction, it's much easier to quit. You won't believe this, but you do not enjoy smoking at all, what you enjoy, is not being in withdrawal. Withdrawal is awful, and the only reason you smoke is to avoid withdrawal. It only takes 3-4 days to get EVER bit of nicotine out of your system. You will not be in withdrawal then, but you may still feel like you want to smoke at the end of that. During your withdrawal, remember how you felt - that's what nicotine ACTUALLY does to you.

Hey man I like your videos a lot and admire your dedication. I have been cigarette free for 8 days now after 15 years, I am 32 years old and honestly I have read that it's normal for people to suffer lack of sleep when quitting but I have the opposite problem it feels like I have developed narcolepsy lol I constantly nod off if I sit for more than 30 mins which is terrible as I work in website maintenance and design >.< Any advice?

Hello Marjan Naumovski: Congratulations on 10 days quit. Be careful about writing off any or all symptoms you are experiencing now to having quit smoking. If you are having any ongoing symptoms that you are concerned about check in with your doctor. The following pages address this issue: whyquit.com/joels-videos/life-goes-on-without-smoking/ whyquit.com/joels-videos/when-you-may-really-need-to-talk-to-your-doctor-about-quitting-smoking/ whyquit.com/joels-videos/is-this-a-symptom-of-quitting-smoking-part-2/ Also, I am going to copy a reply here I sent earlier today to another person writing me about a cough he developed after quitting. Note this person just had a minor cough. You are describing even more symptoms here: Under normal times I tell people not to be overly concerned when this happens. Although, whenever people quit smoking even during the regular flu season they need to be cautious not to write off any or all symptoms they may get to simply having quit smoking recently. The page whyquit.com/joels-videos/after-quitting-smoking-is-there-such-a-thing-as-the-quitters-flu/ addresses this issue. As this page highlights, if at any point a fever becomes evident, it is not caused by having quit smoking. The conditions we are under now are even more complicated and people need to be even more cautious so as not to increase the risk to themselves and others. Here is a page I just came across by doing a google search that talks about symptoms that are common to different conditions like colds, allergies and flus and covid-19.: healthtalk.unchealthcare.org/know-the-difference-between-symptoms-of-allergies-cold-flu-and-coronavirus-disease-2019-covid-19/ It also had some general guidelines on how what actions to take if certain symptoms present. healthtalk.unchealthcare.org/know-the-difference-between-symptoms-of-allergies-cold-flu-and-coronavirus-disease-2019-covid-19/ Also, see the page whyquit.com/joels-videos/smoking-and-the-coronavirus/. It has resources discussing the real advantages of not being a smoker now because of the coronavirus as well as reducing the risks posed by any future infections you may face over your lifetime. it's day 2 for me and I feel amazing! I woke up with a minor headache but it went quickly. I light jogged 2 miles (I'm a regular walker (2-4x/week) but usually couldn't do much more than that), and then I went kayaking on the lake for 2 hours! I feel like I can breathe! sure, I'm having some cravings and feeling antsy, I just grab a piece of gum (NOT nicotine gum, watermelon flavor) and my cranberry juice. thank you for all that you do. :)
