I DRIVE ONE OF THE MOST DANGEROUS ROADS IN AFRICA |S2EP21|
I'm leaving Sinazeze and the lake Kariba to head East again. Next stopover: the sweetest town of Mazabuka. I love the road to get there although very very challenging. I can't see cars but mostly huge packed trucks driving on destroyed roads. I'm impressed but also worried and wondering...
After hours focusing on potholes and other hectic elements on the road, I reach Mazabuka by the end of the day. I already love the vibes of this town which literally means 'to cross over the river' in a local Tonga language.
I couldn't see me driving more so I decided to withdraw some cash and to find a place to park Rafiki. A restaurant accepted me to park the Hilux and to spend a night on their premises. I enjoyed this time to treat me with a nice pieace of chicken and some fries at the restaurant. I met some locals who invited me to watch a football game. I had an amazing and short night. The next morning, I'm full of good energy and I cannot stop singing and dancing in the car. I stop to buy some fresh fruits and veggies at the ladies on the road, and spent some time with them joking. Zambians are definitely one of my favourite humans now! Okay, let's hit the road again to the North East part of lake Kariba: to Siavonga. I'm amazed by the beauty of the landscape but shocked to see so many cars burnt and completely destroyed along the road. When suddenly, I witness a terrible accident between a massive truck and a small car. I am shocked. Zambia is beautiful but definitely dangerous when it comes to driving around...

Yes, I’ve just got back from East Africa and the same questions asked over and over again: where is my wife and why am I on my own? It seems to be incomprehensible to them.

I feel you soooo much!!!! But it’s so powerful to be on our own!
Regarding your fridge, look also for national luna, southafrica. Has a Danfoss aggregat inside. Have it since 3 years 24/7 running and works also in the hot car. Hope you find a replacement soon. BR Mario

So you saw an accident and you did not stop! You have an audacity to talk about without stopping and helping, where is your moral compass?
