What's amazing about Pavarotti is that I can always understand every single word he sings, his diction was just perfect.
Listening to Pavarotti is always like Christmas.
Hi, I am the requester of this piece I am an opera fan so I wanted to introduce you to opera la boheme which is related to christmas. The piece itself is NOT a typical christmas piece but the opera la boheme is a story RELATED to christmas eve in paris. And of course, this piece is from la boheme. Im sorry for misunderstanding. I hope you react to more opera arias and merry christmas!
Listen to the whole La Boheme! :))))) Merry Christmas!
I’m glad you reacted to this, it’s a beautiful aria from one of the most famous operas. I wish you will react to more music from operas.
This piece is from an opera la boheme that is related to christmas eve in paris. There are 4 main characters, poet, painter, musician, and a philosopher. The video you watched is based on a story of a poet, and he is freezing in a cold house in paris. Then, the girl in the video Mimi knocks in to the poet's house and poet fells in love with Mimi. You watched them introducting themselves other and thats how the story begins.
Cant believe you're reacting to this, what a choice!! It is a Christmas piece my friend, the plot of the first 2 acts happens on Christmas eve in Paris. Can't wait to see you do more opera. Tristan und Isolde Prelude would be great!
Not a typical Christmas piece, but well appreciated nonetheless! This is one of the most romantic arias for tenor written! Flirty and teasing! Merry Christmas to all!
Wow! Great to see you react to just a little bit of opera. You've reacted to solo violin and piano, now I'm waiting for string quartets and other chamber music, as well as songs. You have so much to discover!
The male singer is the italian tenor Luciano Pavarotti, one of the best voices ever. You should react to more arias sung by him. Merry Christmas!

This is the aria in La Boheme that introduced Pavarotti to the world in 1961. It became one of his best ones.
One aria you MUST listen to is in The Magic Flute, The Queen of the Night. The soprano, hits the most unbelievable, otherworldly notes. It blows your mind.
La Boheme is my favorite opera! Che gelida manina & mi chiamano Mimi are two of the most famous arias of all time. Listen to more opera & you will love it. I appreciate that you listened to the woman sing, and not just Pavoratti. The arias are in Italian, that’s correct. Peace!
You are a brave soul to delve into the fantastic world of opera. Just continue down the rabbit hole, they don't bite. No matter if you understand the language fully or not, listen with your heart.
To answer your questions, it is in Italian, and for Italian operas clapping after an aria (solo section) in the middle of the piece is normal
Glad you venture into opera! There is a whole world of exciting arias for you to explore. Btw this isn't his best version, that belongs to his 1979 live recording in the original key, in fact young Pavarotti is a whole different beast.
If you get a chance to see La Boheme, go for it, you will enjoy it.
I love opera, especially Mozart
im a rocker of pink floyd, genesis, procal harem, the who etc. but opera especially by puccini and verdi sung by the best , their is nothing you compare to it for beautiful music. i love madam butterfly by puccini. ive been following opera for quite a while and i love, opera is collection of arias that give you a story in music and singing. im a spaniard and i love the italian operas and there are german and english but the italians invented the opera.
I suggest you to listen to a French Christmas choral called « Minuit, Chrétiens » in the version sung by Richard Verreau.
Did you listen Valery Gergiev "Bolero" ?
❤✋
What’s funny about this piece if you don’t know context… my guy is literally SEDUCING his female counterpart in the show
